TMNT Season 5 DVD

Though no date is given, TV Shows On DVD has cover-art for the next Classic TMNT DVD (which does continue the "Season" releasing started with the last one). *Yay!*

Yey! Another ep mystery... From the 21 eps on the official site's guide ("PLANET OF THE TURTLEOIDS" is one ep, but two half-hours), what can we expect here? It'll be reasonable for them to skip "THE TURTLES AND THE HARE" and leave "PLANET..." out since it actually aired immediately before season seven started (perhaps less than a month), that leaves 19 eps. If I'm not mistaken, they put "18" on the box. Should we forget Hokum Hare ever exhisted? As tempting as that sounds, the completist in me is having a fit.

BTW, diggin' the art. It's classic cheese to compliment the more cheesy points of the show. Great idea.

WAAAAA-HOOOOO!!!!!

I'm so glad they are keeping up with that format. I was getting so tired of getting one disc at a time. There are still episodes to be collected that I may not have seen as a kid! I NEED ALL MY TURTLES!

'Once Upon A Time Machine' should have been included with the season 4 box set as well. I'm hoping they don't skip over it.

I can't wait for this! w00h00! I actually JUST finished watching season 4 last night.

Yay!

Season 5 does have some good episodes, so I'm excited for this set. Thank you Lions Gate for the Season Sets!

If this comes out in the summer then we'll probably get a Season 6 set around November.

Good news, although I have to ask. Cowabunga? Pizza? Is that really necessary for the cover?

"Cowabunga" and "Pizza" pretty much defined the original series, so I can see why they put it on the cover. :p

I agree why is cowbunga and pizza the focal point? It should be the turtles logo not that and ugh and more stock art ripping of 2k3 gimmie a break.
The coloring and borders are ok though I have no problem with that.
Now if only they could do art that actully related to the episodes within the box set.

Will this have any special features like the Season 4 set had?

Maybe interviews with the Turtle VA's this time?

This is the first news that's come (and it only gave the cover-art). So don't know of Features yet, but likely will soon enough (when more detailed news on it comes).

Not to cash in with the TMNT dvd release and no longer a new release every 3 months but counting we are getting season sets its all good.

I was thinking we wouldn't get it until Nov. since they were doing season sets and not volumes anymore, I think it was just wishing they wouldn't stop releasing the OT.

The box is pretty cool, it doesn't bother met all because pretty much EVERY volume/set LionGates has released has been inconsistant with each other, so as long as the designs are cool i don't care anymore that there is no consistency in the sets.

As for Episode count, I don't mind it not being all of season 5, especially if one of the missing episodes is the premier that is already on dvd. Though I would be bummed since ending a set with a 'regular' episode is not the same as ending it with a good finale. Also season 6 has more episodes than 5 which would make S5 even bigger. Who knows what they'll do LionGates has done things weirdly in the past volumes as well.
Season 4 also had 40/39/38 episode dilemma if you remember so it might not be final.

I also wonder what the pricing will be? if its only 18 episodes its only 6 more than the regular volumes so I would hope it'd cost the same as those and not $20.
