Good question. You can thank those idiot British lawmakers. In the 80's an d90's they got their jollies off by censoring everything, and making companies rip the heck out of their products. Contra had all the characters changed to robots and called Probotector. TMNT got changed to 'Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles'. Sadly, virtually all kids shows from the UK suck beyong belief(butt ugly martians, telletubies, etc) Not sure if they still censor like they do(well they do with the WWE and other action shows)

Basically what happened is that back then the UK were on about this youth corruption thing & thought that too many ppl (kids) would then try to copy all the ninja moves. Dont ask!!!

Don't ask, cause I think they still do some of that crap. They don't go as far as censoring out the word 'ninja', but they still love to censor things.

Well, I mean they're censors, so obviously...

I mean they still censor somb pretty dumb stuff.

While Im sure the lawmakers arent wearing powdered wigs and puritanical robes, the censoring still rages on in the UK from what I hear from friends there. It was out of hand tho in the late 80's-90's when it came to NES games, movies, cartoons, etc. They still censor the heck out of WWE(not that its any good anyways), yet they have very very racey(even more so than here in the US) reality tv and sex related shows. go figure.

funny thing, in Europe(like Netherlands) they show nudity all the time on regular tv. But they dont show as much violence. Whereas here in the US ya cant even show a breast exam but ya can show people getting blown to bits. Bottom line...US=Violence good, sex bad...Europe: vice versa.

1) We have a few UK posters on here

2) If you're a caucasian American, then there's a good chance your family heritage comes from England (I know for sure I'm mostly English and Scottish).

I don't think Hero would fit in that. UK may have a different time zone. And they usally get their Video Games released there at a different date..
