New toon DVDs!

The link says it all:

http://www.dvdtoons.com/wanted/4

A little edit, here: I'm not sure if it's the old toon or the new toon. Oh well, either works for me.

It says artisan, so it is probably the old toon. If they release the 5 ep miniseries, I will most definetly buy it!

I agree with Karpo. If it's the old toon (assuming it is, cuz Artisan has the rights) I hope they release the DVD with the episodes in order. Gah... I'd love to own the original toon on DVD!

I agree with everyone above. Hopefully it will be the first five episodes in order. With some great DVD extras as well.

MMM, DVD boxed set of TMNTG1. That would be sweet.
Maybe they could release it like the sets for Robotech:Macross Saga.

Well, they are definately going to do what the bulk of the people want them to do...otherwise they wouldn't make much money and get angry letters and crap...I bet most people want seasons, random eps was a vhs thing...not to bash vhs in any way...

I WANT Season Sets YEAH-HA. I can't wait to see my fav episodes again on my big tv like old times.

As for special features the only thing i would want is the toy commercials. I love those and they were so awesome. I'm sure there's a Mondo Gecko commercial out there.

http://www.dvdfile.com just posted that Speed Racer has been announced for dvd. Why is this important? Because Artisan is putting it out, and there's possibly a good chance they'll treat all of their toon videos the same way.

The good thing about the release, though not seasonal, is that it is called "volume one" and contains the first 11 episodes. But as far as features, not much, just something called "Speed Racer Files" which appears to just be a gallery.

If they give TMNT the same treatment, we could be getting the first 11 episodes on 1 dvd, with possibly more in the future. I really hope they put the opening song and closing credits on EVERY episode (that cheesed me off about the FHE videos, even when I was 10) as well as the episode title card, and, though not as likely, the weird voice that said "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be back after these messages" - what a crazy voice that was.

Hold on... Thank God, just checked my Super Mario Super Show dvd to see who put it out, and Artisan's name is NOT on it. The people who put that out should be ashamed of themselves, they butchered it!

Wow, that's news to me!

If there's one TMNT episode I want to see preserved on DVD, it's "Beneath These Streets," the first episode after the Technodrome is relocated to the Earth's Core. It's not on VHS, but it deserves to be immortalized.

I'd like Season box sets of the old series personally... random episodes would be pointless, I just want all the episodes in order on dvd. I'd really like a good version of Return of the Technodrome, I love that episode... I'm so jealous of the UK how come THEY got an official vhs of it and we didn't!

You can probably find a copy of it if you look hard enough. Then you could find a professional video editor to convert it from PAL to VHS. I don't know how many of the scenes were cut in the TMHT version though, or how expensive the whole thing would be.

the cut scenes are the reason that I don't want that vhs... plus the editor would be a pain to figure out.
