Turtles Episode order question.

This sites episode list and the offical turtles site episode list are all the same, but what about tv.com. There episodes are ordered in production order. My question is why dident they air the episodes in this order.

Don't know what's up with that (difference). But this has been brought up before. Infact, I had mentioned of it in another post (due to Lionsgate suddenly switching from seeming to follow Ninjaturtles.com for Seasons 1-4, to doing TV.com's listing way for Season 5). And that (changeover) being the reason for the 3 missing episodes.

If all of the eps had been shown in production order, they still wouldn't have been in continuity order. For example, "SHREDDER TRIUMPHANT!" was assigned a production number before "ATLANTIS AWAKES". In the first mentioned, Shredder and his 'gang' were stranded on Earth for the remainder of the series without the Technodrome. However, in the latter-mentioned, the 'Drome was present. For this reason, there was a series of ep numbers assigned that was supposed to indicate the order for preserving the continuity. Unfortunately, most of these numbers aren't know to the public and may have even been completely discarded (as evidenced by the fact that even Molly Bode's guide on the official site seems to have a partly falsified ep-order).

I would venture a guess that the episodes may have been written in order or whathaveyou and even made for the most part in correct order but maybe for whatever reasons, some episodes had setbacks that allowed others to get completed first?
I'm not sure how cartoons are made and whether or not they focus completely on one episode at a time or if it's possible that multiple ones are in the works at any given time.
