Has this ever happened?

I have always dreamed of walking in an older department store and finding old TMNT murch just sitting there on the toy shelf. IT happened to me once when I was younger in a store where I found a few old Alien toys that had been there for about 4 years or so. But I think it probably never happens now, being as Wal-Mart has killed all the old stores.

Has anyone every seen it?

I'd love to visit an old toy store warehouse, and see what lurks in some forgotten boxes.

Oh man..one time, in about 1997-8, I walked into a local Hills store and on the toy shelves were tons and tons of old 1990-91 tmnt figures. I found out that they had a few cases in back for about 7 years! I snatched up a Donatello, with Storage Shell and some others.

Also, one time I walked into a local department store and all the Turtles on the shelf were in Canadian packaging. They were also only $2.50 each. So I got a bunch. This was probably 1992-3.

Remember Stone Protectors? I picked up like the whole series in the late 90s for like $2 a figure and vehicles for $3.

Just this past summer I started collecting Brett Favre memoribilia, and went into a cardshop I had never been to before. I walk in and its an old Wendy's restraunt, and it had been turned into a place for people to play Pokemon, YoGiHo, and all that other stuff. This place was crazy when I was there with all the kids trading and playing gamesWell, all along the walls were action figures I had never seen and some familiar stuff as well... They also traded figures, war memoribilia, WWE stuff... It was like a flea market meets Chuck E Cheese...even had a candy counter. Anyways, I'm lookin around and I see the 3 Birthday turtles MOC hanging on a pegboard... with $5 signs beneath them. I bought them and asked if by chance he had any other TMNT stuff, and he did. He could only put up so many of each brand of figures because of space. He told me that as soon as I left he was going to put up the old Star Trek TMNT...I bought those and asked If I could see all that he had. He took me into the "kitchen" of the old Wendys and there were boxes everywhere of everything from My Lil Pony to Sin City. Only one box of TMNT stuff left, and I asked him to set it aside and I would come buy them a couple at a time. That was my only time something like this has ever happened.

About 2 years ago, I was in this old Cuban bakery in Miami. I was looking for some coffee for my dad, so I'm wandering through the bread and ceral isles and all this other food. In the very back, along the back wall, were a ton of toys from all sorts of brands. A couple of items were TMNT, and i picked up a Killer Bee and Psycho Cycle in box. Behind a glass case, were a TON of old carded Star Wars toys. I know essentially nothing about SW, but I know there are some valuable figures from the vintage line. I wanted to pick some of them up, but the owner who had the keys for the case, wasn't there that day. I never went back for some reason, and have since moved away, but maybe I should make a trip back there...

My best lucky find I ever found was probably about a month ago. My Leo figure, the first release from the recent line, lost half of his left arm. I was pretty gutted, though consoled myself that he might make a passable "Same as it Never Was" Mikey one day.

Anyhoo, I was checking out the charity shops, and I found this lone Fighting Gear Leo, in great condition but with no accessories for like 50p! I was over the moon! Slightly off topic I guess
