Greetings Fellow Turtle Lovers,
I just found this board and I have been reading it and eager to post. I started collecting turtles when I received my first soft head Don, Leo and Splinter on my 8th birthday. I collected pretty religiously for the next 10 years until around 94/95. I remember hoping and praying for the Technodrome and have thankfully kept more of my collection locked away in my closet for a several years. My Turtle Fever has recently been renewed as I have discovered oddities like Sandstorm, Halfcourt, and The Universal Monster series... I am interested in looking for unique finds that I have peserve and pass onto my (future) children.. I am hoping to start setting up a display.. soon.. I am interested in developing my collection (maybe not extensively as some as I have seen on this site!!!) and I was curious as to if there was a list of the actual values of the more rare turtles.. I know that values come and go and are based on number issued and sentimentally value, etc.... I also have noticed that some turtle, like the Universal Monster series have different colored weapons (red, orange)... is there a difference? Sorry for all the questions.. Thanks. I will post less else where... |

Hi There!

Price varies more than you will realize, and some turtles get more expensive than you would expect when first getting into the hobby. If you collect losse (open) figures, even the most expensive and rare figures can be had for less than $100USD. However, if you decide to collect In Box / On card, you can expect to pay MUCH more than that for the rare stuff. Quote:
Some variants DO tend to be different prices than the original releases. Some more expensive, some less. Quote:
