how hard to find is the vol. 1 collected book? the one with the black and white cover from 1988?

OA · 12-15-2008, 02:42 PM

Not super common, but it isn't super rare either...they pop up with some frequency on ebay.

This should be in the comic section not the toy section. Can a mod please move it?

That's a decent BIN price..I've seen it go for more in worse condition!

*Spitfire* · 12-15-2008, 11:02 PM

I paid 100 for mine so that's a great price.

Good heavens!

Pretty hard I think. At least as far as finding it for a price that is rather affordable.

I ended up settling on the four color graphic novels, which look really good but are missing the Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello issues. Those four books seem to pop up a little more often.

twopinacoladas · 12-22-2008, 02:48 PM

I think I was able to snag that book for $37 or so with shipping about 4 years ago, I had seen it go for over $100 also around that time. The first graphic novels are nice to have as well, that was my first taste of TMNT comics as a kid

(the first 4 issues) although I couldn't figure out why April wasn't a news reporter and other things relating the book directly to the tv show.

U could always wait for the re-issue of that trade come in May next year. Beats overpaying it on Ebay.

*gobo* · 12-30-2008, 08:28 AM

The jury's still out on whether or not it will be all the same content, but the wise collector will want to wait and make sure.

turkishproverb · 12-30-2008, 07:04 PM

And horde copies of the good one while they are breifly down in price.

I saw one at a comic book convention a year ago.
