Battle Nexus Turtles -- arms reversed?

*Wes* · 01-24-2009, 01:31 AM

I was just looking at my 2K3 Turtles when I noticed that Mike's arms looked rather odd. I'd never really thought about it before, but recent QC issues with other figures led me to give him a second look... and now I'm thinking the shoulder/bicep portions of his right and left arms are actually reversed! Looking at the pics on tmnttoys.com confirms that the problem isn't exclusive to my Mikey, but has anyone else noticed this?

I don't know the names of the muscles, but the bulge should be on the inside of the arm and the more flat/angular side should be on the outside, right?

Now I'm contemplating cracking Mikey open to fix this issue. :/

Can't you just flip the arms around so that the biceps are right-side-up? They are lever joints with a socket that rotates.

You can, but then you end up with the back part of the arm facing forward -- they really are the wrong arms. That said, I wish I hadn't noticed it, as this is the hardest. toy. ever. to crack open. Absent some sculpting work and paint, I've pretty much ruined poor Mikey... and the worst part? I still haven't been able to crack the bloody thing open! Sigh.

My four TMNT now are three.
