Do you think Shredder as a mantle ranther than being Oroku saki is great idea.
In the Mirage comic had four person to wear the mantle of the Shredder if count Image volume 3.The 4kids tmnt cartoon also had four chracter as the Shredder.

Mirage TMNT Comic
Oroku Saki
Raphel
Karai
Oroku Yoshi

4Kids TMNT Cartoon
THe Oroginal Oroku Saki
The Utrom Oroku Saki/Ch'rell
Karai
Viral as the cyber clone Ch'rell

I'm OK with it being a legacy character. Because "The Shredder" is a moniker.

Even though the Mirage comics (in proper continuity) haven't really used the concept, I do like it better as a mantle. Raph becoming the new Shredder was seriously one of the best ideas in any Turtles media ever.

I really need to get volume 3...

Blade Raider · 07-16-2009, 11:53 PM

I like Shredder as a mantle, actually. I like the idea of the bad guy being a symbol.

Also like Batman as a mantle as well (Batman Beyond).

I do hate the Green Mantle though

Keldor1578 · 07-21-2009, 12:45 AM

I do think Shredder better off as mantle,Oroku Saki was never intended to become a major antagonist to begin with.

I've always wondered where Oroku Saki obtained "The Shredder" moniker from. Perhaps there was even a "The Shredder" before him.

We don't know.

Same here. Perhaps we will learn in Tales someday

...and lets not use the 2k3 version of the story lol

No. Shredder shall be Oroku Saki.

I like the legacy idea, and I agree, Raph Shredder was pretty cool

Samurai Usagi · 07-22-2009, 08:52 AM

The Shredder to me is as BAD a villain as Darth Vader, especially in the universe of Masked Villains.

Who is Oroku Yoshi ?
I don't know this man, what comics does he appear ?

However, I agree with legacy idea; The Shredder is like a myth...

Samurai Usagi · 07-22-2009, 08:59 AM

Oroku Yoshi is an alternate Shredder in an alternate reality who is actually the GOOD guy.

vincent27 · 07-22-2009, 09:27 AM

Thanks for you answer.

So since Oroku Yoshi is an alternate Shredder, a good shredder, he must look like "bad" Shredder, right ? Otherwise, have you got a picture with him. I wanna know how is his face

He wears the same armor as the 4Kids version, but with a blade on each hand. He's aged and wears a ponytail.

He shows first shows up in Volume 4...#28, I think.

So it's like "Age Of Apocalypse," TMNT style?
