New Power Rangers DVD and Music CD

Well since there's been a few posts about Power Rangers here I thought I'd mention or remind fellow fans that the greatest show on TV is getting its first DVD release on April 1st 2003.
"Power Rangers: Ultimate Rangers" 10th Anniversary DVD will be released featuring the best episodes from the past 10 years of Power Rangers.
---------------------
The 8 episode DVD includes:

1. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - "White Light" (2 episodes). Back in season 2 of MMPR where former Green Ranger Tommy becomes the all powerful White Ranger and leader of the Power Rangers. From a time when Power Rangers popularity was at it absolute highest this classic episode earns it place on DVD.

2. Power Rangers In Space - "Countdown to Destruction" (2 episodes). All the evil from the past unite to take over the universe so the Power Rangers and there allies unite to defend it and in the shocking ending red ranger is forced to kill Zordon to save universe. Most fans agree that this was the greatest episode ever and it definitely deserves to be on DVD.

3. Power Rangers Lost Galaxy - "To The Tenth Power". The first proper ranger teamup sees the Galaxy rangers and the Space Ranger join forces to battle the evil Psycho rangers in another fan favourite episode which deserves its place on DVD.

4. Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue - "Trakeena's Revenge" (2 episodes) The second and not so great teamup that was briefly released on video gets a DVD release too. The Lightspeed Rangers must team up with the Lost Galaxy rangers to battle Trakeena who survived her final battle in Lost Galaxy and has found her way to Earth to take her revenge.

5. Power Rangers Wild Force - "Forever Red". Get ALL the red rangers from the past 10 seasons including the original Jason and Tommy, bring back Bulk and Skull plus Alpha 5 too, stick in some cool Matrix style fighting effects and you've got the amazing 10th anniversary episode that totally deserves it place on DVD.

The DVD also comes with a limited edition 10th Anniversary Poster.

-----------------------
Disney have also released the "Best of Power Rangers" music CD out now. It's features classic tracks plus 3 all new ones including a brand new remix of the original "Go! Go! Power Rangers" song. This comes as a great surprise to Power Rangers fans, the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme song gets an all new 2003 remix courtesy of Disney who I now love.

I just hope the DVD turns out good and the episodes aren't edited ABC style.
Don't forget to get it April 1st (I'm importing mine).

Plus there'll be a Power Rangers comic (Cine-Manga) and trading cards from Bandai coming in summer. It looks like Disney are doing a good job with the show now that Saban is long gone.

Hmm... I probably won't buy that DVD, but I would be interested in renting it. I'll have to check it out once it's released.

But would you like a point less tv show that got rid of another show. There would be two choices 1PR and 2 Satam. Which one would I choose? SATAM!! Satam is 100x better than PR!

I'd wish it'll end up in a cliphanger bury all the tape and cemented it down.

There's a picture of the DVD cover on the Buena Vista site:
http://bvhe.video.go.com/products/2890903.html

It actually says that the episodes on the DVD were voted for "by the fans" even though none of the Power Rangers fans I know ever had the chance to vote. I doubt "Trakeena's Revenge" which is the real weak one on the DVD would have ended up on there if the fans really voted for the episodes.

Remember to buy it - April 1st (then maybe they will release more episodes on DVD)

Ok first I'm a fan of SatAM, but if it could be beat by PR then it needed to die. I mean if a show as well consived as Sonic could die before a show as bad as the first season then Sonic probly wouldn't have survived a 3rd season. Its just the time and the cards

second, that cover still sucks

third, its hard to believe that any fan would vote for an ep of Light Speed crap hole, if they were going to add 2 more eps it should have been one with Quantum Ranger and one with the gold ranger

Here is www.satamsonic.com this site has a big number of Satam Fans. And they do what it takes to bring back the show. Their comics follow Ben Hurst's Storyline for Sea3on. And as long as they are united they still keep Satam alive. So your out numbered 1 to 100.

Been there done that, hell segas killed off all SatAM DVDs, and I won't get in a war here, but senti has been around since 1975, so I'd say they have senority, face facts SatAM is dead, and the comic is helping it die, while PR is already gearing up for season 12

I've never heard of this SatAM show so I'm not surprised it was cancelled. Obviously it was nowhere near as popular as shows such as Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, Pokemon, Transformers etc which are all household names.

Power Rangers has it's legions of fans who've watched right from the start and of course there are new people watching all the time. As Shellfox pointed out there is no way it would be starting it's 11th season still with good ratings if it wasn't for a huge fanbase. Let's not forget it's 10th anniversary reunion episode which was purely nostalgia for the older fans.

Few (if any) kids shows can boast for going 11 seasons straight, still bringing in good ratings and a having a top selling toy line. So there must be something good about this show even if some people aren't willing to watch and see for themselves.

Oh and just something about the Power Rangers Music CD I mentioned. It got an editorial review on Amazon and surprisingly it was a good one:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...e&s=music&st=*
Nice to see someone giving PR some respect.

Jason SatAM is Sonic the Hedgehog that they showed on Saturday, the comics based on this show are still production by Archie, the first 2 seasons were good, but from what has been said about 3 it would have been horrible, Robotnic is no ones lacky, though getting Tim Curry as an cast member would have been cool

Fine don't have a hedgehog. Sonique leader of FUS is going to deal with Sega. FUS is so powerful I bet they'll do alot of mail saying give DiC's dVD rights back! As long as there members are together they may have a chance. DiC doesn't need to face this at all . They just brought themselves out of Disney's Control. Sega doesn't have any control over them. They may hate the Ultra Sonic episode but they have no rights to do this.

Long Live SatAM!!!!

What do you mean Robotnik's no one's lackey? There hasn't been an issue of that plot yet but Robotnik was going to be Undercontrol. Naugus Becomes the New Ruler and Robotnik is his lackey and he will know how Snively felt after the years he push him around. It'll be awhile until FUS posts the future issues.

P.S. Snively makes a better ruler than Robotnik.

That what I'm saying turning Robotnic into Nagusus Lack would suck, Botnic is no ones lacky hes the big bad not the fluncky.

And what do you mean by death. You can't kill a cartoon unless you burn all the episodes. A true SatAM Fan would never say it's dead. If you like PR better than fine. I'm making a website that going to be Sega,Anime & Satam Website with one hell of a profile! And just remenber there are more than a thousand SatAM Fans out there and half of them are members of FUS. I'll be anoucing it on the end of Spring. I'll go to a different topic. And remenber no one mess with FUS or SatAM.(grabs a smoke can and cause the room filled with smoke) HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Look all I'm saying is Sat AM has been off the air for how many years now? some where near 10, it's not going to get a 3rd season, yes it may live on in our hearts, but its dead as a series, just like Venus is dead in TMNT, yes we fans may keep it alive but from a media stand point its dead and gone. Yes some shows come back, and continue the saga like Beast wars/Machines but in many respects they have little to do with the original series, their may be connections but its still not the same, it may be good but nothing more. And lets face facts the comic has gone down hill, maybe it'll pick up soon, but I see that as a real question due to the 3 stories in a book format they have going and the occasional crappy art work and the bad story lines. Yes I like PR but I also like sonic (I rejoiced when Sonic Foundation came, even if the site kinda sucks right now). But you have to let this go, I go to FUS a lot, and while I am behind them, I see things as realistic, the odds of it coming back are slim. Yes I know the fans have power, hell I was behind all those people that kept Quantuum Leap on the air for so many years, but to much time has past, and in animated form SatAM as a media product is gone. I covet the EPs I down loaded from Sonic HQ all those years ago, but I have let SatAM go. If by some chase it comes back I'll eat crow all day long but I don't see that happening. One day PR will go off the air and I will accpt it, I won't like it any more than when Sonic left the air waves but I will accept it. Honestly I miss the Underground eps, but with whats coming the Green Samuari Ranger would be a nice sit in member with his inserments.

But screw both these shows, Transforms is still around and for that I'm happy, even if the armada kids suck beyond words
