Best VS Shredder arc

What was your favorite one?

"The Shredder Strikes" - This was the first fight they had. The turtles were young and inexperienced then. It took Splinters help to defeat the Shredder as the water tower fell down on him. A classic fight!

"Shredder Strikes Back" - Even though this was a cartoon it had me at the edge of my seat because it made you feel like the turtles were going to lose this and even die. Leo going on his own battling the entire foot himself and getting his butt whooped. Brought back memories of the TMNT live action movie when Raph took on the foot and got his shell waxed.

"Return to New York" - A three episode arc. Reminded me of the Bruce Lee movie "Game of Death" as they kept climbing the tower with a new challenge each time. Unlike the last time, the Turtles got the jump on the Shredder. What an arc and a great ending with Leo cutting off the Shredders head. Talk about shock value for a saturday morning cartoon.

"Secret Origins" - The Turtles travel back in time to battle the Shredder and learn the secrets of the Sword of Tangu, then return back to fight him again where he's finally revealed as an Utrom.

"Rogue in the House" - This episode had the Shredder decked out in a slightly different armor. We also got to saw Zog the Triceriton who sacrificed himself to save the Turtles.

"Exodus" - I believe 4Kids only aired this once due to the violence of the arc. This was one of my favorite episodes split in two. Extremely violent, this was the toughest we've ever seen the Shredder thanks to his new Cyber suit.

"The Ninja Tribunal" - Should I add this one? It's not the Chrell Shredder but the original Shredder. I know people have mixed opinions on this, but I loved this arc and it had the perfect ending to it all. It also answered all our questions about the Shredder and who he was. Everything about it was great!

You forgot Rogue in the House. Either way, I'm going with Return to New York, mainly because of the shock value of Shredder's decapitation.

RTNY was great, but I gotta go with Shredder Strikes Back. Reminds me of the early issues of the Mirage TMNT and the awesome first TMNT movie. Plus the fact that the Turtles don't actually beat Shredder this time make it all the more memorable.

I think mine is Return to New York. That's the one where the turtles spent the whole time at Shredder's headquarters. It reminded me of the technodrome.

Exodus for sure. At least while Chrell had his Saki exosuit on. that was awesome.

I have to say Shredder Strikes Back is my favorite. Just so much tension and you didn't know whether the Turtles were going to get out alive and whether Leo would live or not.

Totally agree, Shredder strikes back, was truely a great arc. Loved the desparation, the tention, and has one of the best action scenes in the series!

The way Saki screamed in pain when the arrow nailed him in the stomach, you just know Splinter was going for the kill. But I'm still sticking with Return to New York, just because the ending really drove home the point that these aren't the same turtles I grew up with, especially considering it wasn't yet revealed that Shredder was an Utrom.

The tension of Shredder Strikes Back would be the reason why it's my second favorite Shredder arc.

One thing i noticed about Exodus was that Chre'll in his Oroku Saki form wasn't as tough. The turtles were kicking his butt, for some reason he's always tougher with his armor on for protection.

I think Bishop is a better H2H fighter than the Shredder.

They are all good for different reasons. Although Secret origins and Rogue in the house seem to be the weakest for me. Shredder Strikes back is kinda like the Empire Strikes back in that it has the bad guys win after an epic battle, but is just a setup for the "final battle" at least for the season.
