Two unrelated things: Freakazoid and Snailiens

Number One: Ok, since I don't know many people who remember it, I was wondering if any of you remembered/liked the cartoon Freakazoid that was on the WB years back? I loved it, and always thought it got cancelled too early--I have a few episodes, and they're still funny to me.

Number Two: I'm sure even less people remember these, but I have to ask--does anyone remember the short-lived toy series Snailiens? They were little rubber figures about 2" tall, yellow snail dudes with clip-on armor who fought the Lunar-Ticks, little reddish ticks in armor. I thought they were pretty cool, but I have found very very little about them online. If anyone remembers them and knows where they may be found (I checked eBay numerous times, and got nothing) I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Yes I remember both. I thought Freakazoid was kind of gay. But Snailiens were awesome, I still have some of them. If I remember correctly the Snails were named after Presidents, I think Jefferson and Washington are the ones I have.

I love Freakazoid. I've seen all the episodes.

I like the one with Fan Boy in it.

Freakazoid was one of the best cartoons ever. The thing that always got to me though was why the hell would they make a cartoon for kids that had such odd references? It was one big joke about Casa Blanca and Marlon Brando. Some things were so off the wall it was ridiculous. They had an opening for one cartoon where a train was on a mountain track, and these arrows kept on pushing in titles. It was in black and white and what not and nobody could figure out what the hell it was spoofing. A couple weeks later a friend of mine saw this 1940's movie with the same opening credits. I forget the name of it now, but seriously, a show aimed at 9 year olds is firing off jokes about 1940's cinema. God I love Freakazoid.

Animaniacs did the same thing. They had jokes about people like Clark Gable and Jane Russell.

Animaniacs and Freakazoid are definitely on my top 5 list of fav cartoons!

I love the freakazoid ep where whenever there was a violent scene, the screen changed to a clip of flowers blowing in the wind, or bunnies hopping around, and when the violent part was overr it would go back to the show. I think the ep was called, love-o-vision, or peace-o-vision. that was funny.

I don't think the turtles ever made an apperance. I never liked that show though. Except the 3 pigeons. That was cool. Pinky and the Brain and all that other stuff never caught my fancy.

It was called Relax-o-vision with Ben Stain as the TV specialist. Have you seen the one where it was a E.T. Related Freakazoid episode?
