[Fanfic] Sound Proof- Don and Mike One Shot

Here is a one shot I wrote when the craving to write something hit me. Hope you all get some enjoyment out of it:


Don just wanted some peace and quiet, was that so much to ask of his brothers? Apparently it was by Mikey's whines that the silence was killing his "favoritest little brother!" Mike could be such the drama queen sometimes. Donatello stared down at the scribbled on paper. If he was to make sure all the calculations were correct on his plans to update the Battle Shell, he was going to need a silent area to work in.

"Dooooonie have you finished up your boring work yet?"

Don squeezed his pencil in aggravation, "About as finished as I was thirty seconds ago Mike, now would you please just be quiet and leave me alone for just 10 minutes, that way I can finish double checking my work!"

"Ten minutes! Don, do you realize how long that is?" the youngest turtle stated as if he was just asked to burn all of his comics.

"Yeah, its ten minutes."

"Exactly! And that is way too long for me to not talk or make noise or any of that other stuff I do!"

The scientist spun his chair around to face his brother, "Yoo've had to remain quiet for longer periods of time when we meditate."

"Yeah, but dude that's different!"

"Not really."

Mikey ignored that comment and continued, "What am I supposed to do for ten minutes! Stare at a wall?"

"If that's what will keep you off my shell and quiet then yes."

"So not funny bro."

"Never said it was." at Mikey's pout, Don sighed, "Why don't you go draw or something?"

"Don, art isn't something you can just go and do, it has to come to you."

Okay, this was getting ridiculous, "Michelangelo, OUT!"

"Geez, what made you so grumpy."

Getting up, the purple banded turtle closed the door to his lab a tad bit too roughly causing some of his beakers and test tubes to rattle slightly. Taking a deep breath and returning to his seat, Don decided that his next project after upgrading the Battle Shell, would be to build a sound proof door.
