Work in progress

This started as something for me to use to hone the point on my brush before inking my self-published comic book The Strange Adventures of Toaster Guy, but I liked the way it was looking so I think I'm gonna finish it up. I don't usually draw stuff in this style but my wife thinks it looks cool so I guess I'll stick to it.

Comments so far? Critiques??

Looks great to me so far. You seem to be really good at feathering. You should really think about coloring this after it's inked; it would look really cool.

The only suggestion I could make is to finish the penciling completely before starting to ink next time; sometimes you can make a mess of your art if you don't. But, since I don't have the whole picture in the shot, I don't know if that advice really applies here.

Anyway, continue!

My only suggestion is to fix the elbow pad on his left arm, besides that great job as always!!

Thanks guys! The drawing is completely pencilled, IcyKali, except for some of the shading. My webcam and the crappy late-night lighting in my home office didn't capture it very well. I'll finish it up this week and post the final piece probably over the weekend.

pl212 - what about the elbow pad?? I hesitated to ink it and now you've got me freaked out!

Glad you guys like it. Inking like this is a giant pain in the you know what, so I don't do it often. But it always seems to get a better response than my usual style.

The only minor crit I can come up with is his right foot looks to be a little small in the heel area. Like I said though, its minor. I love the style of this piece and your inking is great. It really does have a mirage kind of feel to it. I always look fwd to your posts man. I love checking out good art

Great to see something not cartoony from you Aaron.

If Powder and Aaron don´t mind I would like to try to color it also, what do you say guys?

Would be fun to see different takes to it.
