Custom NECA Style Splinter

Title says it all:

I'm sure this has been done before, but I wanted to do my take on it, and I'm pleased with the results. Let me know what everyone thinks! Thanks!

Looks great. I know I have my 2007 Splinter out with my NECA Turtles, so he's a perfect base. Kinda makes me wonder kind of articulation a NECA Splinter would have actually had.

Looks Great! Best custom Splinter I have seen. I like how you shaved down the mutton chops from the original figure to more closely resemble the Mirage Splinter.

This is great. I had a similar idea a while back but never got around to it. Your paint work has the correct neca feel and it fits nicely in the line. Only thing I would add would be more shading in the face. E&L always had darker faces for splinter. Keep up the good work man

Excellent work my man. Looks like it walked right off some of those Vol.4 pages in certain shots. Really nice work. I think the 2K7 Splinter is my favorite sculpt hands down, but you really transformed it in a totally different way. Probably the best comic style Splinter I've seen. Nicely done!

Man, this is great! You matched the paint style of the Neca TMNT and you also kept a great likeness of comic book Splinter. Are you working on more?

Great stuff, I've been waiting to see a Mirage-style Splinter for a while. What base figure did you use?

That´s a fantastic job, congrats. Just a question, don´t you think that, regarding the size, the old splinter figure would be even better? Cause, as far as i can remember, neca splinter is shorter than the turtles. Still, u have made one of the coolest neca splinter i have seen so far.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the positive feedback. I played around with the increased shading (Splinter was basically black as far as coloring was concerned originally), but he didn't look quite....right? As far as being next to the other turtles. I'm in the process of trying out a few different paint apps on some other rat heads, I'll see where that takes me.

Thanks guys, and Jester's right. TMNT Splinter, reworked, repainted, and heavily modded head.

Well, I've been getting a lot of positive responses and pms about this guy, and I usually put my first run customs on eBay, and this was no exception. I listed him tonight after my Nick Turtles ended,

He is shorter than the NECA Turtles, they're kind of crouched in that pic. I'll need to take a few more for better comparison. I'm trying out some other options to see if a more "first issue" style Splinter is feasible....

Again, big thanks to everyone for their constructive and polite responses! TURTLE POWER!
