Is it possible to live in a sewer in real life?

Instead of 4 talking turtles, you see homeless guys or a disfigured man. Not only that, he/they also have a bed, tv(that works somehow), books, and posters down there.

I wonder if it's even legal to do that in real life? I guess what the cops don't know won't hurt them lol.

Might be a fun way to live once you learn how to dodge the Chuds.

I'm sure it's illegal, but cops aren't going to bother with anyone unless they cause trouble. They might even make good police informers.

In some of the cities, there are homeless people in all sorts of nooks and crevices under the streets. Storm drains are typically safer than actual waste lines on account of the fact that sewer gasses can be toxic. Sadly, unlike most of the Turtles incarnations, these are dank, dark, foul smelling cramped spaces. Somewhere you'd only want to live if all other options failed. There's a reason most prefer dumpsters, overpasses and the street itself to what lies below.
And in reference to the laws, it varies from county to county but typically the department of sanitation would have an officer come escort the individual out and would only press charges for trespassing if the individual became aggressive or unruly.

I don't know if it's possible or not, but I wouldn't want to do it.

I've watched a video were someone living under the casinos of Las Vegas has lived there for five years, and many people there who went broke do as well. But with less oxygen, its important to live near places that have good ventilation, and be aware of floods. Its possible for the power grid to have electricity under the sewers by connecting power lines along with treated water with the correct plumbing, but i haven't seen a real world example of this. Here is another great real world example from Bogota, Colombia:

Yes, until one day when a flood hits the town.
