Art of Ciro Nieli

I love Ciro's art style. Wouldn't it be great to see a full comic drawn by him?

Here's a collection of some of the Nick TMNT concept art. I believe it's all by Ciro, but if not, please correct.

Please add any Ciro art you find!

His work is awesome! Even if not a whole comic it would be cool if he could do a cover or something for the Nick IDW run!

I said it before and I don't mind saying it over and over again:I would absolutelly LOVE a nickelodeon tmnt art book in the style of kevins artobiography with beautiful page quality and these exact drawings and it would be very interesting to hear from ciro and the others woring on the show about whatever aspect the sketch/drawing/painting just focuses on...
something along the line was done for the batman animated series, it was called 'batman animated'.....

I love the sitting underwater leonardo with a bamboo in his mouth in order to hide and breath at the same time..this reminds me of a short usagi comic that was titled 'the invisable ninja' if memory serves correctly...

but yeah, paaleease nickelodeon if you know what is good and right then give us such a work in the future...the odds for that happening are quite good I think, nickelodeon is very cleverly advertising this program so far, they don't shy back from any means to promote their baby...

that idea we can scratch from the list...ciro has way to many things to do about the show...I mean they are working all day long on all the episodes at about the same time...you cant produce a comic next to that schedule...(although it would look incredible I agree..)...
the only man who ever worked that much and succesfully was jack kirby producing 4 comics a month!!and these were comic books that created ideas and concepts that are the chore things we remember about the superheroes we know today and love...
another thing is:ciro is an animator...his dream was to work in animation and if memory serves me right here in an interview with rob paulson he said( on robs audio pod cast) he followed this dream since he was as young as 15 years...
doing a comic book is another field...animation and comics can go in hand but it still would be new terrain to move in...sequential art with pannels...

I'm pretty sure much of the art posted there is not Ciro's. The Leatherhead and Stockman concept sketches are, and they're incredibly cool. He's so talented, and we're very lucky to see him bring so much quality work into the TMNT.

Yeah none of them seem to ever have artist signatures so it's hard for me to know for sure... I'm sure some of it isn't his but it definitely LOOKS like his

If anyone has more concrete info please do speak up

Wow. That's all some awesome art. I don't know if it's all Ciro's, but what has been deemed as his is awesome work. He's very talented.

Seconded!

I like the Shredder designs for the most part escept the last one reminds me of Dragon Lord. My favorite one is Darth Shredder! Though Appril does not need freckles since she already looks 12 opposed to 16 she is this time around. Everything else is spot on great!

Freckles as part of her design have nothing to do with age, numb nuts. Most redheads (Like April) have freckles, even in adulthood.

I know what would fix that! Selling his promos or commission sketches(if he has the time)! That or a tech wizard like The Jester tweaks it for you!

Being left handed explains a LOT...

I love these pictures, especially the leatherhead sketchwork and the pictures of April with each of the boys. Really makes me wanna get drawing again...

I'm curious about his equipment, though - is it exclusively with the Cintiq (the thing he's working on in the picture), or are some of these more pen and markers, like the Shredder sketches appear?
