2013 TMNT Figures

http://toynewsi.com/news.php?itemid=...medium=twitter

Quote:
Playmates will be releasing a slew of new Turtle products based on the hot new Nickelodeon animated series coming out by late January early February 2013.

First up we have a new wave of basic figures to show you including two new additions to the villain ranks.

·Baxter Stockman

· Snakeweed

· 4 new Mutagen Ooze Turtles (these figures have canister packs that you can fill with Ooze (sold separately) and then launch the Ooze from catapult arms on their packs)

Check out the images for these below in our GALLERY.

ALSO... for those of you interested in Playmates new line of Classic figures, though we don't have any figures specifically to announce we are told that plans for a second wave are being looked at and that we should hopefully have something to show you all in February during the New York Toy Fair. So STAY TUNED!

Playmates will be releasing a slew of new Turtle products based on the hot new Nickelodeon animated series coming out by early late January early February 2013.

Finally we have to show you a new role-play item, the Turtle-Comm.

As seen in the new TV show, the Interactive Turtle-Comm will let kids call or be called and talk to the Turtles! Each Turtle will have a unique play pattern; Leo takes kids on missions, Raph trains, Don asks Trivia and Mike tells jokes. Includes over 90 seconds of speech and sfx!

Ooze Turtles- I'll skip these...not a big fan of Turtle variants.

Baxter Stockman- Looks great, i'll be getting him. He better come with a mouser or two!

Snakeweed- Instant purchase

Launcher Turtles- Pretty cool, but again, not big on turtle variants. I will buy the Mikey one because it reminds me of the old pizza tossers from back in the day

Pizza Play set- OMG! Another play set?! And it folds up to save space?! Instant Purchase

Turtle Copter- Looks cool, but i dunno... I have the copter from 2k3 and this is likely the same mold.

Water Ski- Fishface better be able to fit on that. Instant Purchase

T-Phone- It's cool to see they're still making those.

Ooze- I've never been into buying the ooze, but those baby turtle figures may change my mind.

All in all I love this line and I can't wait to get my hands on some of these new figures. It does suck that playmates' turtle variants are no where near as nice as their basic turtles. Oh well. Snakeweed looks the best IMO.

Even if they're not next, we all know they're coming

Baxter and Snakeweed for sure are buys...though I worry they're going to sadly be small scaled compared to what they should be.

The TMNT Ghostbusters looking figures...I dunno. They're silly, but I'm kinda liking them. They at least have more show accurate heads and looks like the turtle toys' toes are more show accurate in other things.

That pizza box playset thing...looks like it could be cool if there is a platform to seperate the upper area with the pizza shop from the subway underneath to stand on. It actually makes me think it almost could be an add-on to the sewer playset.

As far as the vehicles. That helicopter thing looks a bit too silly... The jetski looks cool though. Definitely reminds of classic TMNT vehicles.

And the ooze... I LOVE that container. It looks so awesome AND it comes with a little baby turtle like the vontage ooze!? Heck, yeah. I was kinda bummed out that ooze on the show was a kind of turquoise or teal color rather than classic toon pink or vintage toy green, but it's grown on me.

I am hoping they make figures for some of the characters they skipped over like Spiderbitez and maybe human forms of Chris Bradford and Xever.

Baxter and Snakeweed are definitly cool and cartoon accurate figures which I will ad to the current figures. Not gonna go with any variants (never did that!)
I do want an Ooze cannister since it also looks very cartoon accurate! NICE STUFF

Snakeweed looks like those little tentacle things on him would be really fragile.
