TMNT relief sculpture
![]() Some may know me as coloring Andrews covers for the TMNT Image comics conclusion but I do other forms of art from time to time. One of which is sculpting. I intend to mount this on a plaque maybe with a glossy black finish. The sculpture itself will have a faux bronze finish. I also thought of having some kind of silver finish with the bandana in red. |

LOL! it does look a lot like Farley's style. Strangely, at first I wasn't consciously trying to make it look like his style but then it became more an more obvious so I went with it. If the creative juices want to flow, it's best to let them.
But to answer your question, No I didn't but maybe I should. I'm sure he'd get a kick out of it. |

Oh I definitely will. I can't wait till I actually get to the finishing stage which shouldn't take too long. I need to experiment with casting in resin or using an epoxy putty which gets hard like a rock. I want this to be super durable.

Wow that's gorgeous.
Though...heh, if you mount this on a wooden plaque it'll look as though you bested Leo in a fight and have his head as a trophy.

The plaque will be black so maybe that will detract from it looking like a severed trophy head.

The image below is one that I did that's a full size bust. It looks pretty retarded now but I thought it looked pretty cool when I did it. I agree though doing a mask or a life size bust of this Craig Farley version would be super sweet.
When I did the Leo sculpture it was with a more firm grade clay which was a huge mistake. It was super hard to shape. At some point I may come back to it and rework it to make it more up to date.
