characters you don't want to see?

What are some characters you guys don't want to appear in IDW? Whether you just don't like them or you feel they can't work in this universe, please don't say characters that are already set to appear, this isn't a "complain about the book" thread. For me its the less notable silly mutants from the OT or Archie comic(not bebop, rocksteady or slash, they're very notable), The justice force, Tokka & rahzar, vanilla ice and Ch'rell.

The same ones I don't want to see anywhere again. Those would be Zach, Shadow, Carter,Dregg,Dragonlord/King Komodo. Also, Pimko is better absorbed into Karai whenever Karai appears. Shredder is a human but I would also like to see Rat King as a human. I'm sure there are others just that is the main personal blacklist. I'm open to nearly anyone else and hope the character roster of the other media and new characters dominates being incorporated in IDW.

Why is Pimiko 'better absorbed into Karai"? Can't have two female ninjas? SEXIST.

What's your problem with Shadow?

I'm with mikeandraph on this one. Shadow doesn't work anywhere but mirage.

Shadow to me is nothing more than an unneccessary plot device that can reoccuringly keep Casey Jones's anger in check. That is all she really served and I did not personally care for the whole plot that brought her into the comics in the first place. She served her plot device purpose for Mirage now the character is no longer needed. This is an opinion thread and the above is mine.

I have zero interest in seeing Ch'rell or the mighty mutanimals. Ray filet is the only mutanimal that I ever liked, and I don't even want to see him.

They don't have to be a Mutanimals group. We might see Wingnut and Screwloose from Dimension X down the road.

Mondo Gecko for some reason feels like a fellow reptilian mutant that they would use at some point. Jaguar and Dreadmon were awful and belonged in some sort of Captain Planet and/or Hanna-Barbera cartoon.

Angel is kinda/sorta like Shadow. In a way Casey does watch over her kinda/sorta like a father figure. Very very loose comparison, but I kinda fill Angel already fills the Shadow role.

Also Spiderbytez.

The only way I see Shadow working is if this IDW book runs for years or even decades, or they do a flash forward. Otherwise leave her out. Sparse use of the Mutanimals would be ok, but a full dose would be weird. Ch'rell would probably fit pretty easily, but I would like to leave that as a 4kids thing. Also, if they never get around to using Triceratons, I would be totally OK with that. I would like to see Armaggon, Verminator X, Bishop, Null and as slim as it probably is, Usagi Yojimbo.

Baby Turtles, Venus, the Ninja Tribunal/Acolytes, Fast Forward characters, any generic Mad Scientist, the Cockroach Terminator, or worst of all, Justin. The Gyrbyx, Mr. Ogg, Buffy, and other "bum rap" characters also qualify.

I probably feel the most strongly about Ch'rell. He's not a real character, I cringe every time I hear his name.

Yeah,I know what you mean. It felt like Shredder did not really appear in the series just mutliple character using the Shredder name. Same with Rat King. Bishop's imperfect clone is given Rat King's story and not even called Rat King. Cheap plot twist turning human villains into something else does not sit well with me. Ch'rell would have to be his own character not pretending to be Shredder. I don't think he would be Shredder ever again but he may at some point be his own character though I suspect unlikely to appear in IDW.

4kids rat king is very similar to mirage rat king, besides his origin. Rat king has like three appearances in mirage and one is a story that plays out similarly to his 4kids appearance in "I, monster". I just don't understand the fixation some fans have on the Utrom shredder or even why they remember his real name, if I recall it was mentioned once in 4kids. I think he's more or less a mistake.

The mutanimals and other silly playmates characters simply don't work in IDW, I see subtle nods and concepts on the horizon but no team of furry superheroes saving the envirment

What's wrong with Dragon Lord? I really think he could work, with the right story!

As for me; Mr ogg, the polarisoid, Savante Romero, Bloodsucker (we have Whyrm), C'hrell, Pimiko, Carter, Lord Dregg, Mia the Vampire, and all the fast forward and red sky characters,

IDW is the best version of TMNT

If they make a TMNT reboot movie retelling the shredder battle/origin, I won't buy a ticket.

I don't actually have any desire to see Ch'rell, but if he does show up I wouldn't complain. And its rather obvious they're not going to use some of the more obscure cartoon characters...people.

I always thought venus was an absolute blacklist characters, but the designs of the character done by Ross Cambell are amazing and I would welcome a venus design similar to his.
