The search for splinter. really good dialogue plus really good action.
Also, it is blends perfectly into season 2.

Showdown, definitely! It had all the right elements balanced perfectly and delivered a satisfying conclusion to most of the arcs from the Nickelodeon Season 1.

Showdown, no question. It was just so awesomely done and really wrapped up some of the storylines for season one while still leaving us with questions for season 2.

Search for Splinter, Showdown was enjoyable, but it was rushed and was relatively unsatisfying.

Ah man tough choice. I haven't seen the 2k3's season finale so it's a tough choice between Search For Splinter and Showdown. Search For Splinter was really good. The action, the dialogue, a Frankenstein reference... But then again Showdown had a Shredder Splinter fight, Splinter finding out his daughter was alive, the first appearance of the Technodrome... I can't decide.

This was a hard choice, since I love Season 1 of the OT...but I went with Showdown in the end.
