NYCC's TMNT Presence

With NYCC creeping up I figured now would be a good time to get our ducks in a row. If you're going, comment below (and specify what days). I'll be updating this thread as time goes on to make sure the list of TMNT related attendees is current, and if you guys notice one I didn't, do inform me. Also if any of you IDW guys wanna tell me what your presence will be, that'd be great. I assume there will be an IDW booth, but with who, I ask!

Here's who I've made note of thus far-

-Cory Smith (IDW's Karai Micro) J13
-Dario Brizuela (Mirage's Tales Of The TMNT Vol. 2/IDW's Animated Adventures) D5
-Dave Rapoza (Digital artist most famous for his realistic TMNT portraits) AA14
-David Petersen (IDW's Hero Micro-series covers) I10
-Denny Fincke (4kids series background artist) W6
-Emilio Lopez (4kids DVD cover art/series colorist/animator) O9
-Eric Talbot (Mirage veteran) U16
-Gary Fields (Archie letterer/inker) K7
-James Silvani (In-house artist for Playmates toys, lunch boxes, T-shirts, etc.) C15
-Khary Randolph (4kids DVD cover art/animator[?]) O9
-Kevin Eastman (TMNT co-creator) Y1
-Matteo Scalera (Marvel/Image artist who has done amazing TMNT drawings) J5
-Michael Dialynas (IDW #29 Variant & popular for his TMNT fan art) H15
-Michael Dooney (Mirage veteran) S5
-Peter David (Writer of 4kids series-spawned comic printed by Dreamwave) B5
-Rich Buckler (Cover artist to Mirage's Training Manual comics) C8
-Rob Guillory (IDW's #6 Enter The Dragon parody variant) W18
-Scott Cohn (Mirage's Tales Of The TMNT Vol. 2/4kids series prop designer) T7
-Simon Bisley (Artist for Bodycount Mini-series) Booth 860
-Tom Smith (Color Classics colorist) N107 (Artists Choice)
-Tristan Jones (Mirage's Tales Of The TMNT Vol. 2/IDW's Infestation) W15
-Tyler Walpole (IDW's Villain Micro Series covers) E11
-Walt Simonson (IDW variant covers) S8

Got their names here- http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/Whos-...st-Alley-List/

Run through it, see if I've missed anybody & let me know what their involvement was/is.

I'll be there for all 4 days, and I'm game to meet some dromers.

****Kevin Eastman will only be there Saturday.

Of course Eric Talbot is there when I decide not to go

Anyway someone would be willing to get me prints/art from him?

Considering you'll just sell it for double when it's in hand, I hope not.

I'll be around, but just as a fan. NYCC always takes place during my birthday so I just use the week to have fun so I won't have a table.

Considering I've provided a list that will be updated weekly as the opening post, yes. It's the most accessible thread given the people attending for comic artists and related content don't typically step outside of this section of the board.

Some interesting names there. I'm familiar with Peter David from his X-Factor, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Hulk, and novels. He's a favorite comic writer of mine, actually. And David Peterson's Mouse Guard work is lovely, as well. I'd love to attend this year.

If you have any real chance of making it, I suggest you get yer booty in gear, as the tickets will only be available online until the 6th. I'm fairly certain they have some tix at the door, but that's not a risk you wanna run if you're gonna fly all the way out from Texas.

Not really an option, unfortunately. With the hubby recovering from an amputated foot, no $$ for a trip, and still unpacking from our move this past week, as well as having only my income and medical bills now coming in- yeah.... Not happening this year. I would LIKE to, but that's sort of a pipe dream ATM. And I'd have had to put in a month ago at least to get off for it, anyway. Only way I'm ever getting to a Comic-Con is if they ever have it in Dallas. Ft. Worth would be even better, since It would be closer.

Thanks for making the list Powder, saved me some time & research! I can't wait to meet Tristan Jones, almost makes up for Ross Campbell not being on the roster this year! I didn't realize there would be so many 4kids people there (I wonder how many I missed last year?). I may have completely spaced it, but I don't recall IDW even having a booth at last year's NYCC, so I'm also curious if they'll have anything this year. I'll be there Friday-Sunday, and maybe Thursday if the events schedule tempts me, maybe I'll see ya!

Sheesh, that's quite a lot. I'll have to think about going to NYCC some point if that much TMNT talent will continue to attend there. Great thing is I have a base in Long Island to operate from heh...

Thursday is actually the best day to go because it's the least busy! I'm saying screw Saturday this year and exploring NYC that day. It was just impossible to walk around Saturday last year and I never care about the big panels. Nintendo Store here I come!

Lol..I actually only bought the 3 day pass for Fri,Sat and Sun. I had been planning on buying thursday individually, but a great concert I couldn't pass up showed up so I changed my plans.

hey it was worth a shot. Yeah you had the same plan as me, I won't decide about Thursday until I see the schedule. It will probably be a lot less crowded that day though, which is a plus, though I wonder if there will be significantly more people this year because it's no longer a 4-day pass exclusive...

This being my first Con I've ever gone to, and coming from WAY out of Town (Toronto, Canada) to say I'm a bit nervous about the whole experience is an understatement. What can we expect as far as....size of the venue? Is this going to be shoulder to shoulder movement because its so packed or what? What about prices for signatures and stuff? Like..if I walked down Artist Alley with a bunch of comics that I would want like..Brizuela to sign this one...Dooney to sign this one etc etc.....what can I expect for charges for signatures? I figured Eastman would charge for anything (considering he's a "featured guest"), but I didn't know about all the artists down Artist's Alley. Like whether they would charge for signatures or just the Original Art they sell.

It's not shoulder to shoulder per se, but I'd expect something close to that on Saturday at the very least, as it's the busiest day. As far as signatures go, I've never met a single artist who charges, and given I've met 80% of the listed attendees already, I can confirm they sign for free. A bunch of them will even give you a free head sketch or something, so I would suggest you bring a spiral bound book to get some doodles in! Most of these guys bring prints (usually 10 or 20 bucks a pop) and original art too (varies in price but is more costly), but several will also be down to take commissions on the spot, or arrange them with you to have 'em delivered to your home the week after.
