Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles -a surprise hit

The more I think about it ,the more I think TMNT could be a surprise hit. People are thinking negative about it because Bay wanted them to be aliens, but then he retracted it to "mutant". Then Bay wanted the movie titled "Ninja turtles" now its "Teenage Mutant" again. I'm not sure how much is still true or not.

Also, the script leak last year was pretty bad, so I m sure they made a new script from the beginning. I have a feeling we'll be surprised by the trailer when it comes out.

You might be right but I have very little hope for this movie.

I'm not sure if you're 8 years old or just that English isn't your first language, but I have no idea what the f**k you're talking about here.

Bri5, Disco....5.

Bri, that first post was very hard to read with the spelling and the improper spacing. That's what he's saying.

Yes you do. Take the time to actually read it instead of insulting him.

I understood what he was saying. And yes, i think that it could be a hit, what with the success of the 2012 series.

It will more than likely have a good opening weekend, as the brand name will sell it to the masses. TMNT is still a pretty big name, and this will be the first live-action film in twenty years. Despite any changes (that the masses won’t really care about, anyway) people will go and see it. As for after the OW, depending on the quality, it will either see a steep drop or display good legs. Guardians of the Galaxy is being released the week before. TMNT will probably take the number one spot away from it. I’ll be very surprised if it doesn’t.

Turtle mania is upon us. This stuff does seem to be selling and almost every kid I see when I deliver Pizza seems to know what the turtles are very much. A friend of mines granddaughter loves the original cartoon, but not the new, oh well at least she still likes the tmnt.

I remember seeing the first turtles movie back when it was out and I didn't care that it had nothing to do with the cartoon. I saw it, loved it and now have more of an appreciation for it now than ever before.

The new movie will not harm my childhood a bit.

I'm a skeptic as well. With bay directing it, I'm iffy. Though it wasn't what I wanted or envisioned the live action transformers to be, the movies did garner a new set of fans in this generation. So it could happen with the turtles too, who knows...

I feel like 9 out of 10 doubters will forget what they were worried about, as soon as they see a trailer with the turtles in action. People here may be a tougher sell, but I bet most of the skeptics who just don't like Michael Bay, or Fitchner as Shredder, are going to be blown away by what modern technology can do for the turtles.

We've never seen turtles animated to mesh with the real world. The designs and the action will be, by default, unlike anything we've ever seen. If these filmmakers know anything (and they do), the promotions will play directly to our inner 7-year-olds, and the coolness will be too powerful to resist.

you mean like what they did with transformers? Do not be fooled, it will suck.
It may look good but that is all it will have, those people can't tell good story to save their life, just watch the new robocop trailer, it will be just like that...

Dear Threadstarter:

u made some spelling mistakes and on this website its a no no, see we have 30yr old virgins who think not spelling right is the end of the world.. they'll point that out and make u feel like an idiot..thats what u call having no life.. now I can talk negative about 4 kids and even though im just giving an honest opinion these guys will define it as "trolling".. so please watch out when youre typing cause the no life nagging crew will go in keyboard defending mode cause as we all know NOTHING makes a loser feel better than correcting someone..hell they BANNED me from the 4kids section not cause of trolling but because talking negative about 4kids hurts peoples feelings around here..

theres a reason why Ciro's last post is this:

im not coming here anymore, you guys are depressing.
get a sense of humor and start enjoying life.

anyways... as far your thread im actually looking forward for this, i wasn't before but even the last week ive sort of changed my mind and became quite optimistic, as long as its not as bad as turtles 3.. it cant be THAT BAD.. even the transformer movies weren't as close as bad as Turtles 3..sure theres a few things that im not happy about but f*ck it were getting a live action ninja turtles movie, if this turns out to be the 3rd best ninja turtles movie i'll be a very happy turtles fan..
