Question about Kirby Bat

I had assumed that since Kirby became a mutant because the Turtles spilled mutagen on him that he would be a villain but when I got my new figures they have him listed as a good guy. Did anyone else notice this and kinda feel a little surprised by it? It's been a while since I watched the ep where he mutated but I was thinking he would wind up blaming the Turtles for it based on how I remember it playing out.

Well, given what has happened to him, no he wouldn't be a friend of the Turtles. But he wouldn't be an enemy, he'd still wish to protect April in anyway possible.

Well they listed him as an absolute good guy but of course they don't have an anti-hero category on the back. But are you guys saying you basically think he will be an anti-hero?

I was also confused by this...but he's not exactly a villain either, so it's complicated I guess.

I do wish Kirby can talk in his mutated state.

If he double mutated, he'd be the true Wingnut. He can also befriend a mutated mosquito named Screwloose who understands how he feels.

It could be argued that a mutated -- or even double-mutated -- Wingnut would not be a "true" Wingnut at all.

April's father will likely be de-mutated by the seasons end. Anyone who thinks April's Dad will remain permanently a mutant or change into wingnut is ridiculous, this whole season Don has been trying to create retro-mutagen. They're trying to change Mutagen Man back to normal too.

Agreed... Kirby turning into a bat and possibly becoming "Wingnut" will not be what we consider the true Wingnut, but I don't see them ever bringing in an alien Bat Creature that happens to be named "Wingnut" after Mikey coincidentally called Kirby Wingnut. Way too coincidental. I think Kirby will be the one and only "Wingnut" for the NICK universe.
I think Kirby being called Wingnut was simply a 'nod' to the old show and that's it. No real Wingnut in this universe.
