TMNT meet Oprah

Does any one remember when the Coming out of their Shells tour was occurring when the fearsome four met Oprah?

I remember my mom having this on late in the afternoon, and I freaked out

On a side note, how many of you were able to attend one of their tours?

This was great to watch since you can tell by the kids' emotions is that how everybody felt when referring to how Shredder would appear along with the varied simple questions that would be asked, though the one about if April would be a turtle was interesting. I never attended the tour since it didn't come to my area. Either way, if I had this on, I knew that as soon as this was over, I would switch the channel on another station to watch another OT episode even if I'd seen in several times by that point, though I may have watched The Disney Afternoon or play Nintendo instead.

^I couldn't stop laughing at that part in the video, haha

That was...interesting to watch. Sure to me and probably the rest of you the turtles seem really stupid and over the top here, but what made me smile is seeing how happy those kids were

This is lame.

Where's the chair throwing and paternally test on finding out which brother is the father of April's baby?

They should probably have used the movie costumes, like what they did later with SotO and that interview.

Same here. If one thing I didn't like as a kid was how cheap the costumes looked whenever the Turtles appeared "live". As a kid I very vaguely knew there was somebody wearing the costumes (as the "grownups" would try to reinforce over and over again), but it seemed like such a lack of effort on their part (and aroused further kid suspicions on the "fallacy" of cartoon characters), unlike compared to Mickey Mouse (who's appearances were more consistent in the amusements parks, ice skating tours, TV appearances, etc.).

In my kid-like thinking back then, I used to wonder, "If they are the same Turtles, why do they always look different unlike Mickey Mouse?"

Hell, the MGM costumes would've looked better than the singing tour costumes!

This makes me wonder which was worse: Coming Out Of Their Shells or Next Mutation.

They both made kids laugh. So what's wrong with them? They were made for children.

I'm just amazed at how disorganized and shabby the whole production is. My good friend saw the concert and said he was simultaneously in awe and utterly disappointed.
