Turtlemania Special #1

It's possible you've never heard of the Turtlemania Special. It was a giveaway at a Florida convention in the early TMNT days. It's one of the rarest TMNT books around.. and it's currently on eBay.

I happen to already have a copy, so I just thought I'd share:

It's more of an advertisement than a comic. I don't remember the contents exactly (and the box mine is in is currently burried under tons of other boxes), but there are some pinups and stuff. I *think* there's art in there that I hadn't seen elsewhere, but I can't say for certain.

"The 30 page fanzine ..."

sounds like it may be kinda "homemade" by chance? perhaps just fan art or something, along with some previews and/or pinups that were in the original comics?

Psh, no way. I have a copy of this, as well, and it is an official Mirage publication from said convention. It has original art by Eatman and Laird and some write-ups on various TMNT items.

As I remember the original issue had a gold cover. Thats the truly rare version and had a very limited number or prints. I see this green cover issue on eBay all the time.
