Well over the years, the TMNT Franchise has had a lot of subtle and not so subtle Adult Jokes and I figured they'd be funny enough to start a thread about.

This is more a visual joke, as "Fried eggs" has a second meaning other than actual fried eggs. It's also a strong reference to him being the only one of the four in this series who has a very distinct feminine side.

My favourite adult joke is in the 2007 movie.

I dunno that it's my favorite, but it's certainly memorable: Fishface's "Bass to mouth" comment, I don't know how the hell that made it past censors.

Given that a sizeable portion of TMNT material (mainly in comic book form) is NOT actually intended for children, there can be some more blatant examples than mere tricking censors.

Have to agree on the Dimension X "sea monster," which remains one of my favorite funny moments from that series. The way they all freeze, all of them knowing exactly what's up, but not speaking a word (until Mikey breaks the silence) just kills me. Nice depiction of the awkwardness of facing intimate topics alongside family members, like every person who has ever watched a movie with their parents that includes a heavy love scene. lol

None of these are really adult jokes, they’re anything a kid would notice and just chuckle at. Either standards have changed or some people make a big deal out of anything.

The one that comes to mind is Raph saying “The difference between men and boys is the size of their toys” at the start of the 4Kids episode Return to New York Part 1.

One good example, since it's in a version definitely intended for a young/family audience, is in TMNTIII(1993) when Michelangelo is prodding the newly-arrived Kenshin - He had just traveled through time from 17th century Japan, swapping places, and clothes, with April - and asks him thoughtfully, "How'd you get in April's pants...?"

There was a couple of rather adult jokes in the OT episode Turtles of the Jungle

There was one episode where Donatello was with a Scientist. The Scientist's pet chimp Jocko gets hit with this growth ray and turns into a 30-foot tall ape. At one point the scientist yells "Jacko, you have been a very naughty boy!" And Donatello replies with "You don't need me to spank him, do you?"

Then later on when Donatello is turned into a 30-foot tall Turtle so he can try and rescue April from Jocko. This is the rough exchange

April: Donatello...

Don: I know, I'm a 30 feet tall. You don't need to rub it in.

April: Actually, I was going to say I like you bigger.


And in the 2012 series during the Vision Quest episode, there is one moment where Donnie and Leo are in the living room of the Farm House. Leo is packing for their camping trip, and Donnie essentually comments that he's worried April and Casey will screw while they are gone. The context really isn't funny, but yet that's the one go-to thing he's worried about in their absence that is humorous.

Donnie: Okay, I'm all for getting in tune with nature...but those two are going to getting in tune with each other.

Leo's reaction pretty much just says it all.

"Get over it, already!"

She looks at him as if to say "And you'd better keep your hands to yourself buster!"

There was also in that moment after Casey and April were switched back into their real bodies and Casey says.
