Casey Jones question

Hi, sorry about this extremely lame question, lol, but seeing as I've only known Casey Jones via the original TMNT movie, I was wondering if he had any particular reason to become the vigilante that he is? Is it personal, or is he just doing it for fun?

by the new cartoon, it's b/c of a vendetta against the purple dragons who were running a raquetteering gig in his old neighborhood and torched his family business.

in the mirage comics... well... to be honest i've not READ the ones with casey's origin story in them. but it'd be safe to say, "vendetta" again.

maybe people who know more than me will post.

The Orignal Casey Jones in Mirage comics has a violent way of stopping crime.

In the new Cartoon he has a reason to stop crime only with the PD involved with it.

I hope there's some plans for an Episode that would tell more about Casey's Father. Maybe that will come sometime in season 3 or 4 maybe.

maybe in the movie he's just plain sick and tired of people preying on people so he takes it on himself to stop them.

I thought Casey Jones was an engineer who died with his steam locomotive over a hundred years ago. I think he was trying to beat a time and speed record or it was purely accidental?

Ain't sure but I think the loco still exists...

Gotta look that up. The Train Wrecks book I have will tell.....
(thats a great read when you're really on a train in the middle of the night!)

I think he was trying to beat a speed record cause in that song it says "drivin' that train, high on cocaine, casey jones you better watch your speed" You know what song I'm talking about.

Never heard of it, but it was probably the real casey who tht TMNT casey was named after. I'll try to find out.

I would like to thank my 2 year older cousin for getting me in the habbit. 2001 was when I revised my knowledge on TMNT. And today I'm a bigger fan than I was years ago. I have all 3 TMNT Movies, current Toon, and old school Toon on DVD.
