Dreamwave 7 - Discussion (Spoilers)

What'd everyone think of this issue? I really liked how they scared those thugs into going straight, and Mikey was really funny. Loved the Cheshire Cat reference as well. And another appearence by Casey! I'm gonna miss DW

Yeah I think it was amazing as well. Comedy was great and the turtles were in it for a lot of the time. It was so good. But I think the new character is making the series fall and probably a reason for it being shut down. The Thug gang in my eyes was a bit weird and a bad story line. Oh well I will miss Dreamwave's amazing art.

This one was my favorite of the series, so it's unfortunate it's the last. I guess I liked this one because all of the turtles were at least in it, but I seriously don't like the new character. He's probably the only thing about this comic that I WON'T miss.

THe end was funny....Mikey ad libbing was funny, and the "You are sooo screwed!"

Ahh not much Raph, that sucks.

*slinks in late* Oy... my life is so busy, it takes me an actual effort to remember there are new comics to get.

But wow, hay.. I thought this comic was amusing. Lots more Turtle action too, so I hope people are happy to see that.

I don't mind the additonal character. It just provides another opportunity to play with another story. The Kali god played by the turtles was a hoot with Mikey's sad add-libs. Surprised Kali herself hasn't commented on this yet!

I think I would like that new character a lot more if he had a better name and if he played a smaller part. The last 2 books were like centered around his story.

Yay I managed to get a copy since the store in Leicester had loads, odd when they only usually have 2 copies (who woulda thought?)

It was a good issue, I can see it's a very kiddy comic which was perhaps why it was losing out. If the series had got into more serious story lines earlier then perhaps it would have fared better (the turtlenator arc seems just that).

Besides that, it had funny moments like the cheshire cat thing and the 'so help me mike, one more lassie reference...' but overall not enough Raph

Did anyone notice the little mistakes? Like April's bad english, 'it's lucky none of the customers was listening' or when Leo was coloured as Mike and vice versa when he's explaining that it's about 'making sure things are done'...maybe I'm just picky

Hrmm.. hadn't noticed the Leo/Mike color switch, but as far as April's grammar goes... I think it's your's that's going bad, raphael_is_cool dude.

'it's lucky none of the customers was listening' --- the noun that the verb "was" refers to, is "none". Not "customers".

But that's not to say that Dreamwave's editors don't let many mistakes like that slip through. Us Transfans have found more mistakes in their TF comics, than you would find in the entire run of the Mirage B/Ws!

I don't think they were coloured wrong, just the speech bubble was given to the wrong character.

Firstly no, it would be 'none of the customers were listening' or 'lucky that none of the customers was listening' (but even that second on doesn't quite sound right)

...and if you check the positions of the turtles in the previous frames it's a colouring mistake

Picky me

I'm not so sure. Looking at it again I agree the positioning suggests its a colouring mistake, but it still seems like the speech is in the wrong position.

That's what I figure happened.

I guess some of us didn't take that into account though.
