Nice! I have page 5 from that book (Bat Splinter attacking Leo). Mind I ask where you got yours from? I picked up mine at Chicago Con back in 1997.

same as most everything else - eBay! Cool, we've got pages from the same book - we're like phychologically linked or something. Now whenever I look at that page on my wall I'll think of Roseangelo!

And for the record, I've been a collector for a little under 4 yrs so you're a little ahead! Do you mind my asking how old you are? Just curious.

[Roseangelo]

24. I've been a TMNT fan since I was 10 (1989). My aunt bought me a lot of the early Archie issues as they came out, but I didn't really get into all of the comics until 1992. I then literally spent hours upon hours at the local library researching in the Overstreet Comic Price Guide, trying to figure out all the different TMNT books and appearances. And then I would check it out and bring it home and study it for countless more hours.

In the back of Previews (or maybe it was Comic Buyer Guide.. yeah, that's probably it) I discovered that there were some local comic "conventions." They actually turned out to be very, very small rooms with some dealers. But I went and had surprising success. Those small shows were great for getting the obscure non-TMNT Mirage titles. There also came to be two larger local shows; both of them starting out quite small, but they've grown to a decent size since then. Those also turned out to be great sources.. I got a first print of TMNT Vol. 1 #2 for $2.75! I went to Chicago Con once (where I ended up with three pages of the Image comic, the one from #9 being one of them), and it was ok, but I never really had any desire to go back. I've been going to Comic-Con in San Diego since 1998, which is awesome, but it's really not a place to go to fill your collection (ironically). There's too much other stuff that goes on there and I've only come out of San Diego with a handful of comics total since I've been going. The small local shows are the key to building a collection.

[Savanti Romero]

Almost all of volume 1 except for the first 5 and City at War.

All of volume 2.

Volume 4 #2-11

About 8 Archies and some other stuff.

For exact list of comics, toys, movies, projects and everything else I've got TMNT it's at my website.

Yeah, I've been collecting about since 1988.. pretty much doing the same thing Rose does, go to conventions and whatnot. You can actually find some good Turtles issues for cheap most of the time. I got a Turtlemania Special in the dollar box, and a Laird original Don drawing in the same dollar box! Ebay is also a place to get some of the rarer stuff.
I haven't been able to get the recent stuff as good though, none of the comic shops around me carry mirage comics...and the shows i go to don't really have many either. I usually just end up ordering from Mirage.
