New restrictions at FF.net

They announced this a day or two ago, that www.fanfiction.net will be closing their doors on NC-17 material.

While I was desperately hunting around attempting to bookmark personal pages for people who's NC-17 fics I enjoy, or aren't finished yet, I ran across this and decided that I'd ask everyone here who disagrees to with the ruling FF.net is putting up to check it out!

http://www.petitiononline.com/KEEPNC17/petition.html

when I signed there were over 8000 signatures... thats in about a day and a half! Can we say this was not a popular decision on their part?

Oh my! There's that many sick, perverted writers (and readers) out there?

Well, I hope that works. Usually they say online petitions don't carry the same weight as real pen n paper ones. *shrug*

The only thing I hate about this... if that if FF.net does take don't all the NC-17 fics, I am not going to like having to edit aaaaaaall the links to those TMNT fics in the Archive!

I e-mailed fanfiction.net at [email protected] letting them know that I was quite dissappointed with their decision. I had been thinking about paying for their service upgrade, but there's no point if half of my stories can't be shared.

I'll sign the petition too for what its worth.

Um...The kiwis are ready for harvest?

His socks are ready for the laundry?

He's ready for a year-round rutting season?

Master mojo? Recalls what they say about how the Japanese like to saty hardah longah. There's more reasons to eating sushi than just to fill the palate. Hai.

But yeh.. the likely hood of Mistress Renet's site being erected right away doesn't sound likely. I have yet to hear back from Dawn on that possibility. A sort of Plan B... tis all.

*Does her bit*

Wait for it! I am number 11717!

I have told my family about this and they are of the same opinion as me. If you don't like NC 17 stories then don't read them! If you're a parent and your under age child is reading them, doesn't that say that you should supervise their 'surf' time? After all we wouldn't expect Hollywood to stop making scarey or distrubing films because some people didn't like them.
