New Episode Discussion: "The Golden Puck"

Hehehe, and they thought they could get get rid of me..

THEY WERE WRONG!!!!!

*evil chuckle*
Well, looks like we're going to have an interesting episode.

Super Slam Hockey? Kinda soudns like a mix of the NHL and Smackdown, dontcha think?

Casey: Two minutes for slashing.... two minutes for hooking...and three-Ahh! *suddenly gets grabbed up by the undertaker and piledrived into the ice*

*cringe* Maybe thats the reason why the ice has a pink tinge to it...

ANYWAYS...this golden puck suddenly comes up missing, and Good ol' Casey's gotta go retrieve the precious artifact.

Casey: This doesnt look that hard...
*dressed in Indiana Jones garb, slowly makes his way deeper into the "Temple of Gooooooooaaaaaallll!" Sees the golden puck and picks it up, not replacing the weight with a sack of teeth or ice shavings.*

Casey: Heh, that was easy...
*Turns to leave, but finds himself being chased after by mobs of angry goalies and fish raining down on their heads*

Obviously, the guys kinda figure that he's not gonna be able to do it on his own. You can imagine how that's gonna go...

Yeah yeah, wrong movie, I know... Just imagine it as Raph and Casey, with a lot of swearing...

Stay Tuned!!!

*hugs Machi's feet* Now THAT'S how you do an episode teaser thread! Don't you EVER leave me alone to do another one of those, you hear me? Do them in advance and e-mail them to me or something.

Is anyone else utterly disturbed by this William Hung stuff. As far as TMNT it actually started out fairly well. Not as cheesy as I thought it'd be.

That's exactly what I was wondering. There's been a few good lines so far. Where's the pie?

Edit: Well we've got a motive...I dunno...seems like a bit much just to own a team.

I've actually enjoyed this episode on a comedic level. There's been some great lines.

Gotta love the Boss Hog line! Great stuff! Overall I liked it. The turtles pulled off some pretty sweet moves in the fight and there were a ton of great jokes. The motive behind the theft of the golden puck was pretty weak. When Don mentioned it was made a long long time ago for a prince I thought it would have something to do with that. Other than that I thought it was a pretty cool episode. Just one more thing. Why are hockey sticks always so poorly drawn in cartoons?

Not one of my favorites, but not one of the worst either. I vote on average. It had some good lines, and was better than last week's ep. I was hoping for a prelude to "Rogue In the House" in the last few minutes, but oh well. I like Casey episodes, there doesn't seem to be many of them. It would have been nice to see April somewhere.
I liked the animation in this episode.. The hockey player animation was cool and it was kind of funny to see all the Turtles wearing hockey masks.

Was this episode anything like "The Unmentionables"? It's been about ten years since I read it, but I'd say very very very loosely. I liked the golden cow better than the golden puck, and Casey had better reason to defend it.

That and guns. they look like laser guns.

This episode was pretty good on a humorous level.

I think they were meant to look like lasers because they were lasers. At least that's what Casey said in the intro.

Not just in this episode. In city at war part 1, The mobsters' and Purple Dragons' guns also looked like lasers

I liked it... I thought it was funny. Though, one of my favorite parts was Don reading at the game... And then correcting Casey on his hockey puck history.

There were actually alot of parts I liked in it. Them making Casey "sweat it" a bit... And I just loved how Leo said: "Yes, it's time to get the puck back"... Or whatever that line was.

But geez, what was up with Casey 'hiding' in the hotel room? He did an "If I can't see you, you can't see me" thing. Oh well. I liked alot more about it, but I'm sure others will mention the parts I can't think of right now.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw that guy. And when Casey said that, I cracked up.

Well I missed the first 15 minutes of the episode, but from what I saw, the action was SUPERB!!! A far cry better than last week episode. Damn, those turtles are awesome! I like how the new fight scenes look like choreographed Hong Kong action movies as opposed to the drab confrontations of the the original when Mikey always tied the villians up with the grappling hook, or Don would throw the bo staff at the lever that would conveniently drop the net on the villians who happens to be standing on the X-mark. SHEESH! We all thought that was cool back in the day, too.

Speaking of which: How come the censors wanted to get rid of Mikey's nunchakus, when according their logic, ALL the turtles should have not have their respective weapons?

Overall, I was highly entertained. GrantediIt wasn't as good as other episodes, but I think this should be the status quo when making the filler eps. You know you've got a hit when your worst episode is better than anything else you can see on Saturday morning! Good job, Dong Woo!
