Automatic log in

At the Log in screen, you can check to log you in automatically when you come to the forums. Is this done by remembering which IP address you log in from? How many different computers can it remember you on? The reason I ask is because I have it set to remember me when I log on at home, and then I set it to do the same thing when I'm at work. It remembers me at both locations. Is there a limit to how many different IP addresses it can remember you at?

Actually I'm pretty sure it just saves in your cookies. So you can do it as many times as you like in as many places as you like.
