Abotu a couple of years ago or so, CyberCubed made a joke about someone casting The Rock as Casey Jones and then I said that The Rock in a TMNT movie would probably be cool. Obviously I would not want hi mas Casey but as villain to the Turtles or some sort of anti-hero would be kinda cool, imo. Especially if his part was of his The Rock character. And then Andrew said he had this idea of The Rock being in a possible TMNT movie many years ago, thus having this idea before anyone else in these forums.

So, would you like to see The Rock in a TMNT film?

Only if he's mo-capping a Triceraton. Get him and Diesel attached and watch them dollars roll in.

This isn't really a joke thread, though. I'd like to see The Rock in a segment with the TMNT at least once in my life.

Imagine this. Jericho as Fred Wolf Raphael. I could totally see this happening.

And Fred Wolf's Mike is pretty much The Rock's version of the TMNT.

This. Even if it's a small cameo, it should be The Rock adjusting his cuffs standing next to his puppy of course.

I don't think he's doing Disney stuff anymore like he was some years ago.

Btw, back in 2006 or so there were rumors of a live action Johnny Bravo film... which would star The Rock. Even though Johnny Bravo is white I'd not mind seeing The Rock play him. He'd be a great pick.

I can see Dwayne Johnson as Mozar or Zog, maybe as Slash or Leatherhead.

Everything is better with the Rock. Just ask the Fast and Furious franchise.

I put the Rock in my old TMNT 4 fan screenplay (that I once personally handed to Kevin Eastman in 1999). As himself.

He's a wrestler who's never displayed any real acting talent and hasn't made any good movie choices--he has not even been in a cult classic. "The Scorpion King" is not a good movie, the "Fast and Furious" films are not good movies, his most recent films "San Andreas" and "Hercules" are not good movies (in the slightest), "The Rundown" was a pretty good movie but it's not a cult classic nor would I exactly put it up there as a good or even great movie--he's not even the best part, character/actor, whatever of that film. Besides, how is this guy worthy of praise when he's in a number of bad remakes and "The Tooth Fairy" (among some other excruciating bad ones)?! If I don't see him in another movie, that'd be great.

If Kevin Nash could play Super Shredder in Secret of the Ooze and Sheamus casted as Rocksteady in the PD Universe, why not? The Rock has a significant aura to him; whether in the WWE or movies, he is a big draw for mainstream viewers. Although I've only seen one of his movies growing up, that being The Game Plan, I thought he was alright. Nothing bad, but nothing great, just rather average.

In terms of a TMNT character, it honestly depends on the direction of a specific character and his chemistry. Even if you don't like his movies, he does have that aura I mentioned; his antics in the WWF, now WWE are still enjoyable to this day. If anything, I could see him being Armaggon if they played him up as a cocky bounty hunter, it would fit certainly given that Johnson has done impressive mic work as a heel. Other than that, I honestly don't see him working outside the box office draw with a cameo or minor role at best.

Isn't he almost like 40 years old now? Or is he older than that? He has to be up there in the years now.

IndigoErth

What's age got to do with it. Heck, Leo got voiced by a 40-something last time. Surely 'The Rock' could have at least an age appropriate part.

Not everyone hits 'old age' by 40. lol

I liked The Rundown and have a soft spot for The Mummy series. I know the Mummy films are not exactly masterpieces, but they're part of my childhood.

Doom was a terrible movie but I did like that twist near the end when he becomes the bad guy. Did not see that coming.

Did not enjoy his VA in Planet 51, that animated film set in an alien planet version of the 50s.

Yeah, but he's still jacked as f*ck. He cna pull off the action hero convincingly enough still.

I'd want to see the Turtles and Casey hunting down Bebop and Rocksteady in the first act of the film when the Turtles come across the Purple Dragons and Hun played by Dwayne The Rock Johnson. The Purple Dragons team with Bebop and Rocksteady & decide to take over new york now that Shredder is out of the picture. The PD and B&R could be as the setup Villains of the movie as it builds up to a full on invasion from Dimension X.

For the final act have the Turtles learn from Bebop and Rocksteady that Shredder and Krang are returning to earth soon. The Turtles then hunt down Baxter and use his tech to build a Portal to take the fight to them and head to Dimension X. When the heroes arrive they see that Krang has Robo Foot Ninja and a Rock Soldier army ready for an invasion.

Now for the finally I'd have the final showdown be with a Mutated Super Shredder in the Technodrome portal room who is set to lead the army to earth. The Turtles of course need to stop the army from getting thru and get past Shredder as Donnie has set the drome to explode.

Both late, said it three days ago in anther thread. :P

Definitely. With a nickname like 'The Rock,' who else is supposed to do General Traag. Because no reasons.

That's interesting, I'd like to introduce you to my friends Luke Keith and what's his name:

Seems your former 20 year old self would have been quite enthusiastic and interested in "Dawn of the Ninja." Maybe you guys could all pitch some money in and Kevin Eastman would greenlit your script, trust me it can happen! ;)

You're kidding me, right? He's like the only WWE/WWF wrestler to ever possess any modicum of acting talent, and the Rock can act.

"Faster" is the best film he's ever done. Fantastic movie.

And here I thought I was the only person who'd ever watched "Faster."

"Snitch" was also severely underrated.

I like both Gridiron Gang and Walking Tall. Maybe The Rock could make a cameo as a pizza delivery guy. Smash a few heads and that's it. Let's just hope LeBron James never gets cast.

I finally got to see Walking Tall. Good fun, not much depth to it though. But hey, the Rock smashing casinos and thugs with a 2x4 is great!

This is another one of those professional athletes/actors/stars that has aged incredibly well despite his age.

Really just goes to prove if you take care of your body even when you're pushing 40 you can still look great.

Definitely falls under the umbrella of "movies that really want to be like the hard R actioners of the 80s/90s... but gets a PG-13 anyway." Comes off so light when they were totally going for the opposite.

Well, I dunno man... The guy looks literally like a rock. Even if he is a workout nut, is it possible for a guy in his 40s to be ripped like he is? I mean, The Rock, like pretty much most wrestlers before the turn of the decade, has been on the juice at some point or another...

did they actually say there was going to be a part 3 to this?
or is it just speculation (wishful thinking)?

at any rate ... i think the only way the Rock would be good in a Tmnt film is if he's playing a cameo as himself.
unless that cameo has him getting Pizza stuck on his Nike!
