I also recently acquired some pre-TMNT Eastman and Laird stuff! Really interesting although kinda risque at times. Some of the sensitive stuff is listed but not pictured.
Scat #2. I'm guessing this book is from around Halloween, 1979. It has a few-page story by Laird featured inside, plus a pretty cool Laird cover: The Technician, 1981 book by Mike Kirby with Illustrations by Peter Laird. The story is 84 pages. Laird art is featured on the cover and 5 full-page illustrations on the interior: Here are some 'zines, which are tiny few-page comics that are very cheaply made. They just seem like xerox copies stapled together, much like the original Gobbledygooks, except smaller. They measure about 4 1/2" x 5 1/2". Book of Man #1, '83. There's a neat 3-page Eastman comic inside featuring Kevin Eastman himself as the prophet East-Man. Goodies #4, '83. Featuring a cool Eastman cover. (nudity on cover, not pictured) Goodies #5, '83. Featuring a hilarious 5-page Eastman story about the end of the world and a spontaneous encounter. (nudity on cover, not pictured) Goodies #8, '83. Featuring a five-page Laird story about a woman's fantasy encounter with a Conan the Barbarian-type character. The cover has no relation to the interior content: Goodies #9, '83. Includes a Laird drawing on the inside front cover of a nude woman. Goodies #12, '84. Includes a funny 4-page Eastman story about a man who has an interesting "effect" on women just by touching them. (nudity on cover, not pictured) Sweet Cheeks #1, '83. Features a cool Eastman cover. Upchuckle, '84. One page has an Eastman drawing of a woman doing dishes while <censored>. Fandom Directory #8. February 1986. There are some neat Eastman and Laird drawings in here, but nothing like #6. Nothing full page, just a few drawings throughout the book. There are 7 total drawn by Eastman and/or Laird. I hope you enjoyed this look at some obscure Eastman and Laird stuff. Next up: some new original art acquisitions. very very cool adds. I know when you buy, you buy with purpose and you'll cherish them. I want to see them hanging on those bare walls of yours

haha. Hey man, I was freshly moved in when you were over last year. There are things on the wall now! I think some of this art would look great on the wall in my home office (that wall is still bare).

:edit: I recently was going through TMNT #43. I haven't read it in years. I had completely forgotten that A.C. Farley had done a signature and sketch on an inside page for me back in 1993! A cool surprise to find. If I remember right, AC didn't like signing covers unless it lent itself well to signature placement, like #48 and #49. At the time, for some reason I wanted everything signed on the cover. But now, I'm glad he signed it on the inside as the cover really is too busy for a signature: Last edited by MrPliggins; 05-08-2020 at 12:59 PM. |

A couple of new original art adds from Kevin Eastman Studios. Love that these were all drawn on duo shade paper.
A couple of #32 pages, 9 and 16. By Mark Bode, Kevin Eastman, and Eric Talbot. Last edited by MrPliggins; 05-07-2020 at 11:26 AM. |

Just picked up this cool drawing by Jim Lawson.
8 1/2" x 12" Karai as Shredder. Drawn on Duo-Shade paper (which I didn't realize until I received it. A pleasant surprise). There is no year on the drawing, but I'm guessing it was drawn around the time of City at War for a few reasons. It's personalized to a Gavin. My old #61 City at War page was also personalized to a Gavin. I wonder if it's the same guy? edit: Sold Last edited by MrPliggins; 11-24-2020 at 01:36 PM. |

Thanks guys.
I made this cool shadow box display for my original button set. I saw something similar done a few years ago by a board member: Last edited by MrPliggins; 05-08-2020 at 01:00 PM. |

Now that's a sexy looking display! Haha. Grats on the shogun. Such a great figure, and now-a-days somewhat an investment. People seem to drop bank on em. Good luck with that eBay sale.

That's what I had planned to do if I ever picked up a set of pins. Very cool idea with the shadow box. I had thought it would be cool to have E&L sign the ad card or go nuts by printing the ad on some nice bristol and having Lavigne color it... Make it truly unique.

I like the idea of getting the ad signed. I printed it on a piece of regular flimsy paper but put a piece of cardboard behind it, which the buttons are stuck into. I had the thought to color it myself, but then I thought the buttons would grab more attention if they were the only thing in color. You should definitely do that if/when you pick up a set! I'll be interested to see the result.
