and now i present the next thrilling chapter of...

AS THE FORUM TURNS...


*Several Months have passed since the departure of Azure and Machias. Summer ups and downs have affected everyone, and they all look forward to seeing each other once again.*

*It was early when Splinter rose from bed. He stretched, donned his robe, and headed out to the kitchen to make a cup of tea. Once it was poured, he made his way to the porch, relishing the quiet before his sons and friends awoke. The sun peeked from the horizon, bathing the forum with its golden rays.*

Sp: Hmm, today will be a good day. I await what, or who, comes with much eagerness...

*Meanwhile, off in the distance, a figure emerged from a Greyhound bus, bags and satchels hanging off their neck and shoulders*

That's the last time i Ever ride coach again...

*Machias looked at the scene before her. Everything looked peaceful with its sunkist glow. Off in the distance she could see the caves and smiled to herself. 'cant wait to see everyone, and show them how much i've changed' she thought. She hefted her bags up higher and made her way towards her second home...The lair of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles*

*Azure paid the taxi driver and thanked him for his kindess. He picked up his luggage and began walking towards a cave that he had called home for many months.*

Gee, it's been a while since I've been here... I wonder how everyone's doing? I wonder if their summer was as fun as mine.

*He smiled as he continued towards the lair*

*Kali dragged herself into the kitchen and sat down at the table where Leonardo had already set out her cup of tea*

Leo: Feeling any better?

I didn't have the over-powering urge to puke this morning. *she cringed at Leo's look* Sorry...

Leo: It's okay. I understand. *he put his hand on her forehead* At least there's no fever. Drink your tea while I get the others up. I have the feeling something's gonna happen today.

*unenthusiastically* Whoo hoo.

*Machias neared the lair ever closer, when she heard the sounds of tires peeling away. She looked towards the sound, and saw a figure emerging from a cloud of dust*

Azure? AZURE!!!! *Waves enthusiastically*

*she hefted up her bags once more and made her way towards the blue turtle*

[Skeletoncrew]

*Skeletoncrew awoke to the sound of her alarm. She sat up and reached over and fumbled around until she switched it off. Flopping back into the bed she looked up at the ceiling. Metal. Metal ceiling, metal walls, metal floor, metal everything. At least they'd brought in some decent furniture, rugs, and wall hangings for her. This place was so damned inorganic!*

*She looked over at the other half of the bed. Empty. The man she had previously known as Eric was up early for his morning exercises as usual. Skeletoncrew stumbled to the bathroom for a hot shower.*

*watches the sunrise from where she sits, wondering what to do*

Hmm. I am so BORED! There's never a 'con around when you need one.

[Skeletoncrew]

*Skeletoncrew answered the beeping intercom as she dried her hair.*

Yes?

*Krang's burbly voice replied* Come up to the control room in half an hour. If you see those moronic mutants bring them with you.

Okay.

*She rolled her eyes. Now what? Probably another one of his ridiculous plans for world domination. What was I thinking when I came here?*

(( *gasp* sleeping with the enemy?! I'm shocked! ))

((two days and its already corrupt!))

*inside the caves, a lone turtle was getting up. He stood up, and with a full-bodied stretch, adorned his gear and made his way to the kitchen.*

Mike: well, I'm gonna enjoy the peace while i still can. Knowing Leo, he-hey, Splinter must be up, the stove is still warm...maybe he'd like some company. If i can find him that is...

*Mike gathered up his mug of cocoa and muffin and headed towards the porch. He had to shield his eyes for a moment from the sudden light, but quickly hunched a bit to get out of its reach. The morning air made his nose tickle, and he quickly set down his breakfast to try and stifle it.*

Mike: *makes funny face* Achoo!

Sp: Bless you, my son...

*Mike spun his head to see Splinter sitting on the big porch swing, mug in hand and smiling.*

Mike: *sniff* thanks, Sensei...

Sp: This is rare to see you awake so early in the morning.

Mike: Ah, must've slept good last night...slept like a log. :)

Sp: Well, it certainly sounded like something was getting sawed in your room...*Mike gave Splinter a 'huh?' look as he chuckled*...would you care to join me, Michelangelo?

Mike: Sure...
*he grabbed his breakfast and took a seat beside his father, watching the sunrise bathe everything in its comforting light.*
Huh, Never really seen a sunrise like that before...awesome. :D Most of the times i miss it because we have practice so early in the morning.

--Or you're in a coma on your bed...

*Mike and Splinter turned to see Raph standing in the doorway, holding a bowl of corn bran.*

Sp: Good Morning, Raphael.

Raph: G'Morning, Splinter... *Raph gave his nod before shoveling a spooful into his mouth, practically swallowing it whole.* I've been up a while, thanks to Mike and his snoring. Loud enough to wake the dead..

Mike: Well, it woke you up, didnt it?

*Raph gave Mike a snarky look before sitting down on the porch steps. Splinter shook his head with a smirk, and set his tea back down.*

Sp: Well, nevertheless, I recommend you enjoy the time you have now before practice.

Raph: ...til Leo wakes up.

Mike: Nah, even Leo couldnt get me down today.

Raph: why such the good mood?

*Mike shrugged before sucking down the last of his cocoa*

Mike: I just got a feeling something good is gonna happen today...Not sure what, but it'll be good.

Raph: Hope youre right...

((Wow that's a long post!))

[Skeletoncrew]

((I'd been leading up to it for a while. I think I left more than a few clues as to who Eric really was. :evilgrin: ))

*Skeletoncrew soon found Rocksteady and Bepop in the Technodrome's kitchen gorging on Froot Loops and Cocoa Puffs with extra sugar. After exchanging greetings with them she grabbed a bowl of Kashi and sat down near them.*

Krang wants us all in the control room in 20 minutes.

Rocksteady: Not another meeting! I hate meetings!

Bebop *snorts*: Yeah. I'm no good at discussin' things, I just want to get to the surface and destroy some stuff or somethin'.

Rocksteady: Its been too long since we've had a good fight. I'm actually kinda startin' to miss those shellbacks.

Bebop: Not me! They always won!

Rocksteady: Not always, we got them a few times. Hey Skel, did we ever tell you about the time we caught Michaelangelo?

*Skeletoncrew watched with mild amusement as the two mutants began trying to impress her with tales of battles with her friends. Not that they had any idea that she'd ever met the Turtles, much less stayed with them. She finally had to interrupt them so they wouldn't be late for Krang's meeting.*

*Azure looked about as he heard his name*

Hmm? That voice sounds really familiar...

*He turned around and saw his good friend Machias, waving enthusiastically and running up to greet him*

Woah!!! I see you've returned, too. :D It's been a while since I've seen ya! How've you been, Machias?

*The little blue turtle couldn't stop smiling. He was quite happy and excited, and he knew that with Machias around, the caves were going to be one entertaining place to be in. ;) *

[Kameko]

*A strange machine appears in an alleyway, and after the dust clears, a lone figure crawls out of it*

Kameko: :x Ugh. That is the LAST time I become the guinea pig for one of your ridiculous inventions, Donny. *looks around, realizes she's not in the lair* :o Ummm... Donny? Mike? Guys, this ain't funny... :( Hoh, boy, I'm in trouble.

[Machias Banshee]

((Youre such a sweetheart, Azure... :D ))

*Machias dropped her bags and gave Azure a big friendly *glomp**

Its so awesome to see you again! Aw, I'm so glad to be back...I wonder if the others are up yet...come on, I'll get my bags, and we can talk about our summers! :D

*sighs* Well, may as well check and see how everyone else is. It's not like I have anything else to do.

*disappears*

*walks slowly out of alleyway, glancing around*

Ooooookay... It looks like New York, it sounds like New York, it -- ugh, it even smells like New York... but how'd I get topside? Geez, I'm gonna kill Donny.

*Notices some people giving her strange looks, realizes she's still wearing her dogi, tabis, weapons belt and mask*

Heh, uh, um, hi, um, I'm, y'know dressed like this for a, er, publicity stunt! Yeah, that's it, um, anyway, gotta go!

*Bolts back into alley and searches for a sewer grate. Upon finding one, enters sewer and starts for 'home'*

*muttering* Donny is so dead, he's dead, he's dead, ...he's dead!!!

[Machias Banshee]

((Ah, a new comer to the caves i see! trust me, it'll be lots of fun for ya... :evilgrin: ))

*Machias and Azure continued on their journey 'home' talking about the things they did over the summer.*

*Meanwhile, Mike was gazing off into the scenery, when he saw very small figures on the horizon.*

Mike: Hey, hey-- Is that who i think it is!?

*Raph and Splinter looked at him and followed his gaze to the two figures, now much easier to single one from another. With one big leap, he jumped off the swing, over Raph, and started towards the two figures, his heart in his throat, his stomache full of happy butterflies*

[Kali]

What's up with him?

*Raph looked over his shoulder at Kali, who had just come outside to join them, still holding her teacup* Who knows. How you feelin'?

Better. I guess. *Kali sat down next to Raph to finish her tea*

Raph: Where's everyone else?

Leo's going to try and drag Don out of his lab. He's pretty sure something important's gonna happen today. *she rests her head on Raph's shoulder*

[Machias Banshee]

*Leo soon emerged, with a very tired Don at his side*

Leo: Good morning everyone...*looks off in the distance* Is that Mike?

[Kali]

Uh huh.

*Leo squinted into the distance* There's a couple other people out there.

*Splinter just calmly sipped his drink* I think, perhaps, you should go out and meet them.

*Raph groaned* Do we have to?

[Machias Banshee]

*Machias and Azure were talking, when Machias suddenly paused and caught Azure's arm, looking up ahead of her.*

Azure you see that?

*Mike ws ever so closer, when he finally made out the faces of the people*

Mike; Machias! :thyper:

Mike!

*Machias dropped her bags as Mike swooped her up into his arms. She hugged him as tight as she could, planting as many kisses on his face as she could.*

Mike/Machias: Oh, I've missed you--how have ya been--everyone's eager to see you...

*Mike put Machias back on her feet, and gave Azure a friendly hug as well*

Mike: Its so awesome you two are back! Its been pretty qquiet around the lair without you here...Come on, the others are probably all awake now!

*without a word, he picked up their bags and trotted back to the caves, asking questions about their summer and such*

[Skeletoncrew]

*Skeletoncrew stifled a yawn as Krang went on about his latest scheme. It of course involved stealing some new piece of technology, raising the Technodrome, and then holding the world hostage. The usual tripe which he never seemed to be able pull off. She glanced over at Saki. He was wearing his armor and helmet. Mmmmm...damn he looks sexy in that. Her reverie was broken when she heard Krang speak her name.*

What?

*Krang gave her a disgusted look.* I SAID that this plan should work perfectly since weren't going to have your undead legions providing a distraction while Shredder and his henchmutants steal the positronocelerator!

Oh. Um, where exactly are we going to get a legion of undead?

Krang: Well, maybe not an entire legion, but look up at this map here.

*She looked up at the rather large cemetery being displayed on the screen.*

Shredder: As you can see its in a somewhat remote location, so you and the robotic diggers should be able to raise a large amount of 'recruits' without interruption. You'll be able to give your orders and get back here to safety without anyone knowing of your involvement.

Ahhh. *Skeletoncrew tried to quell the butterflies in her stomach. She wasn't really sure if she wanted to be involved, but then, she was kind of in over her head already.*

*appears, leaning against a wall* Well, isn't this a touching scene.

((( :-? I'm confuzzled. Somebody bring me up to speed real quick on exactly where the turtles and thier entourage are. *Feels silly* :toops: )))

((Well, Skeletoncrew is at the Technodrome, as for the rest of us, we're in the turtles alternative lair (or rather, outside of it at the moment,) which is basically a system of natural tunnels and caves that connect with the sewer system, I suppose. Donnie has the tunnels monitered.))

*The meeting adjourned so preparations could be made, Skeletoncrew headed back to her room and flopped on the bed to think. Soon enough the door open and Shredder entered the room carrying a box. He headed over to her and set the box down on the end table.*

Shredder: Something wrong?

I'm still a little unsure of this. I mean, randomly making zombies and causing chaos for fun is one thing; creating a zombie attack to distract from a theft is another.

Shredder: Are you so sure? Might I remind you that there was some looting in that one town?

True, and I felt kinda bad about that.

Shredder: Those people chose to do what they did. They might have broken into those places even without your inadvertently distracting the local law enforcement.

Yeah. I guess so.

Shredder: Besides, once we're done with this messy business of conquering the world we can rule it any way we want. *He removed his mask to lean down and kiss her.*

Don't you mean when Krang conquers the world he can rule it any way he likes?

Shredder: Uhh...yeah. Oh here, I got you something. Since you're being an evil villain now, I thought you might need an appropriate costume. *He hands her the large box.*

*Skeletoncrew opens the box and finds a gorgeous death's head mask staring back up at her.*

Oooohhh! You shouldn't have!

Shredder: There's more in there. It should all fit too. I hope you like it. I had it made up just for you. *He glances over at the time.* I've got to go get things ready. All you need to do is be ready at dusk. I'm getting a module programmed with your destination, and all the excavation robots will be ready to go with you. Remember, all you have to do tonight is send your zombies out to create a little chaos for a few hours. Nothing bad.

[Kameko]

*wanders to the hatch leading down into the lair, trys the door, and find it stuck*

What the...?

*alarm klaxon suddenly goes off*

Um... I think I've got a problem here...

[Kali]

*Don suddenly became very awake as his alarm system when off.* Uh oh! *he rushed off back to his lab, thinking that maybe it was their visitors out front that were setting it off. But he was mistaken and the alarm was set off deeper in the tunnels, at the entrance to the old lair.* This does not bode well.

*he rushed back out to the porch to tell the others* Guys, the alarms are going off. There's someone trying to get in through the old lair entrance.

*Raph groaned again* Come on, that's a mile from here!

Leo: Still, they could find their way here. Don and I will check it out. Er... *he looked over to Splinter*

*Splinter nodded* Go.

*Leo bowed slightly and headed off with Don at a quick jog*

*Kali moved closer to Raph* Remember when I said I was bored of the boredom?

Raph: Yeah.

Next time I say that, shoot me.

((Man, me and Azure are returning, and Leo and Don disappear! :( ))

* Azure, Mike and Machias finally reached the porch of the lair. They both gave a small bow to Splinter after saying hi and hugging everyone*

Oh, its SO good to be back...its been a busy summer, but i'm looking forward to what's ahead...

((Don't worry, they'll be back.))

Yeah. *smirks* It'll be nice to have some help dealing with these guys. *elbows Raph*

Raph: Hey! *rubs his ribs* People're supposed to be weak when they get sick.

*Splinter smiled* It is good to see both of you again. I hope you had a good trip.

*nods* Yeah, w/b, Azure, Machias. Now maybe something interesting will go on for a change.

Yes, Sensei, albeit a bit long...I'm ready to have some fun--in a good way, that is, heh....

Mike: I brought your stuff to your rooms, so that way you dont have to worry about it until later. Hey, i think this should call for a welcome back feast tonight! :thyper:

*snicker* I'll be happy just to get some breakfast...

Thanks for carrying my bags to my room, Mikey! But I think I'll go and start unpacking... I'd rather get it over with now so I could have plenty of fun later! :D

*Azure noticed that Raph seemed to be wearing his usual "grumpy turtle" face, so he decided gave Raphael a playful punch on the shoulder.*

*He quickly ran into the caves before Raph had a chance to get even and headed towards his old room. Opening the door, he chuckled softly to himself.*

Ah... Just the way I left it!

*Azure turned around and nervously scanned the area*

No sign of Raph. I hope Kali keeps him busy 'til I'm done unpacking.

*He grinned and began going through his bags*

*Don and Leo reached the old lair and Don turned off the alarm system*

Leo: You check around in here, see if anyone managed to get in, I'll check around outside.

*Don nodded. Leo headed for the main entrance, thinking that that was where an intruder would be most likely try to get in.*

*Near dusk Skeletoncrew makes her appearance in the transport area of the Technodrome. She's greated by wolf whistles from Rocksteady and Bebop who quiet down as soon as Shredder walks in the room.*

Well? What do you think?

*SC spins showing off the hooded cloak, leather bustier, bracers, and knee-high boots over a pair of tight pants. The outfit is somewhat reminiscent of Shredder's, but all black with a skeletal look to the leather, and a whole lot of pale cleavage showing at the top.*

Shredder: You look fantastic!

Yeah, but is it intimidating? Its supposed to be intimidating isn't it?

Shredder: Absolutely! You look look like the sort of woman not just anyone would want to mess with. And with the mask you'll have your anonymity and look just plain scary in case anyone does see you.

Okay. Just so long as I don't look like a Xena wanna-be.

Shredder: Not at all. Here's a blaster, *He hands her a blaster which she places in the holster around her waist.* and here's a time table for you, since I know you like having everything written down. *She reads it over.* Any questions?

Not really. I'll come up near the cemetery, take the 'bots over, raise as many as I can before 9, send them over to the nearby shopping district at that time, and then head back here to twiddle my thumbs until you guys return from stealing that positronocelerator or whatever it is. Anyone gives me any trouble, I hit them with the blaster, which is set to stun.

*The plans confirmed, SC boarded the module and headed for the surface.*

*Kali sat down on the couch next to Raph when everyone went back inside* So, Enigma, what've you been up to lately? The usual?

*Raph, mumbling* When is anything she does usual?

*glares at Raph* I'd watch it or there's gonna be a glowing, neon pink turtle walking around here, buster.

*sighs* Just being bored. I haven't had much work lately, so all I have to do is hang around my pets and watch them argue. Especially when Cooler starts causing trouble.

[Kali]

*nods* That's pretty much how it's been around here. Boring, just hanging with the pets. *gives Raph a playful pat*

Raph: Har har. Aren't you do for your drugs?

*gives Raph a scathing glare*

Raph: Nevermind, forget I said anything.

[Machias Banshee]

*Once Machias finished her breakfast, she and Mike took Master Splinter's chair in the living room, and sat down*

Mike: Well, what do you want to do on your first day back 'home'?

I dunno...I Do have to talk to Splinter about my Martial stuff, but i can wait til later...

*snickers* Nice to know that you've got him trained, Kali. Now if I could just do that w/ Cooler, I might be able to get a full recharge for once.

*Kali stands up* Excuse me for just a minute. But when I come back, I wanna here all about your summer, Machias. *waves and leaves the living room*

*Raph sits back on couch and sighs*

*The silence thereafter felt a bit awkward, so Machias tried her best to start off on the right foot with Raphael*

So, how you doin, Raph?

*looks about* You know, I think this might be the first time the lot of us have gotten together and nothing weird has happened, barring the alarm thing of course.

[Kali]

*Raph nodded to Machias* I'm okay, considerin'. *pauses* You've gotta give the weirdness time, ya only got in this morning. The pranksters still have jet lag.

[Skeletoncrew]

*Skeletoncrew looked at her watch. 8:45. Fifteen minutes until show time. She had 50 zombies already and it looked like the robots would have another 10 dug up before it was time to send them out. She paced carefully through the dark cemetery, watching for low headstones that could trip her. She was both nervous and excited. Something about raising the dead always gave her a bit of a buzz. It was almost like a drug, and she'd almost raised more tonight then ever before. Her communicator buzzed and she answered it.*

Yes?

Krang: What's your status?

Everything is going according to plan. I'll have about 60 zombies to unlease at 9.

Krang: *laughter* Excellent. Now if only that incompetent Shredder and his mutants are able to pull off their part!

*Skeletoncrew frowned slightly at hearing her boyfriend called incompetent, but Krang couldn't see it because of her mask.* Yeah. Um, I'm sure they'll do fine. Why would you keep them around anyway if they don't get things done right?

Krang: Because good help is so hard to find!

[Machias Banshee]

Gee, thanks Raph :roll: And no i dont have Jetlag...

Mike: Come on dude, you dont think she's gonna start trouble on the first day, do you? *side glances her*

Mike! I told you, I'm vowing to be good from now on! I cant believe you guys dont trust me! *pout*

Oh, leave her alone you guys. If she says she won't cause trouble, then she won't.

*glances at Mike* Though you really can't talk about not causing trouble, Prank King. :P

Mike: *looks innocently* What, is it my fault someone's allergic to olives? I didnt know putting olives in their fruit salad would make them start turning blue!

*snorts* Why do you think I don't trust you cooking half the time? I never know what's going to be in it.

Mike: Well, I have to at least KNOW if you cant eat something! I dont wanna get in trouble for accidentally poisoning somebody to death! Do you know how many Pushups I'd get for that! :teek:

Hmm, sounds like I'm gonna have to start doing the cooking now... :D

Trust me Mike, if you had gotten around as much as me, you would learn to eat just about anything. I just don't like finding weird additions to my meals.

Well, I dont think you'll have to worry about food problems tonight, I wanna make you guys some new dishes my mom taught me, so now i wanna make it for you guys! :D

*Azure silently walks into the living room where everyone's lounging around. He hears the bit about Mike and poisoned food and decides that perhaps he should go back to his room...*

*Machias saw the small blue blur trying to leave, but she called him over*

Azure, why dont you join us? We never got to hear the whole story on your trip to Atlantic City...

~Yeah, I've been reading... :P ~

Mike: Hey, i was just about to say something!

~Sorry!~

Mike: Thank you. :D

mike: *groan* So, lil bro, pull up a sofa and start telling! :D

Mikey: Huh? But Atlantic City is the home of the Boardwalk! There must've tons of fun things to do!

*Machias raced through the waves, trying to get her flippers fstened, while trying to remain at the surface. Once they were on, she put on her goggles, took a breath, and dove.*

*The water was warm, like a bath, and teeming with small fish. A lone moray eel stayed in the shadows, waiting to strike at its unknowing prey. Parrot fish scraped at the coral for sustenance, whilst their releases contributed to the expansion of the beach's white glitter. A lone Manta Ray fed in the water, dancing to an unknown rhythm. *

*She let herself sink to the bottom, making sure to equalize the pressure in her ears. She held out a hand to touch the ray, and took a hold before gliding through the water on its back. Up near the surface, unknownst to the guests of the sea, a lone shark was making its daily patrols, insearch of whatever it could find...*

*Azure spread his arms out to greet the ocean, before falling backwards into the sand*

Hey Sensei! Wanna go for a swim? Raph and Leo wanna see if they can beat everyone at swimming...

*Splinter eyes Mike from his book, and grins. It wouldbe good for him to go for a swim...Splinter sighs and lowers his book.*

Sp: Michelangelo, i must warn you that i have not done any sort of aquatic sports for some time...

Mike: Aw, come on, Master Splinter, It'll be fun!

Sp: *chuckles* very well then...

Mike: *turns back to Azure* So? wanna come?

*Mikey's enthusiasm always prevailed, so there was no fighting now. Azure sighed and shrugged*

Sure, why not. I've got nothing to lose.

*He took off his sunglasses and bandanna*

All right then! This oughta be interesting...

Sp: Yes, it should...

*Splinter, Mike, and Azure were about to go when Mike paused to look at Don.*

Mike: Oh Don....

Don: No, Mike, i'm fine right here...

Mike: you have to come! All the guys are doing it, you gotta come in!

Don: Wild horses couldnt drag me...

Sp: what about turtles? *arches an eyebrow*

Don: huh? wha--

*Azure and Mike quickly pick up Don, running to the water's edge, and commence to throwing him into the water. Splinter slowly goes down, unsure if his sons would dare to throw him*

Okay then, now that we've got all the participants ready, what're the rules?

*Don surfaced from the water, coughing and sputtering*

Don: Now just a second! I didn't wanna take part in this!

Mikey: Aw, c'mon, Don! This'll be fun!

Raph: What's wrong, Don? You aren't scared of the water, are ya? :evilgrin:

*Splinter stood by Don, also hesitant to enter*

Sp: We will come in gradually, unless some one is 'foolish' enough to hurry it...

*Meanwhile, Machias had let go of the ray, and was nearing the turtles. She could only see the five turtles and grinned evilly. concentrating her energies, she sent out a pulse that caused a large wave to come hurtling towards the shore*

I'm sure they wont mind a friendly waterfight...

(( OOC: Uh oh... I sense impending doom! :eek: ))

*Everyone was busy trying to convince Don and Splinter that the water was safe. Leonardo turned around and noticed the giant wave*

Leo: What the heck?! It's a tsunami! Quick, everyone out of the water!

Raph: Oh come on, Leo. That was pathetic. You don't think we're gonna fall for that old trick, do ya?

*Mikey turned to see what Leonardo was gawking at*

Mikey: Uh... dudes... Leo isn't kidding.

*Everyone saw the giant wave that was fast approaching*

"I've got nothing to lose." What the hell was I thinking?! I knew I should've stayed on the shore!

*All six of them scrambled around in vain to get away, but the wave was too fast. Azure was sent flying towards the sand and landed with a "thud." He sat up, spitting mud and sand out of his mouth. He frowned as he suddenly realized that he had a new hat made out of kelp*

That was so uncool...

*watches from her spot on the beach, completely dry* Wow. Guess it was right to play it safe and stay here for awhile.

*Kali lifted her sunglasses and looked out at the group just as the wave came crashing down on them* Well, that was unexpected. *she got up and walked over to them*

*One by one the Turtles either crawled up off the sand or out of the water*

Don: Oh, yeah, this was just SO much fun!

Raph: Shut up.

Leo: Hey, where's Splinter?

*they all looked around and spotted their sensei out in the water.*

Splinter: I am fine! I just think I'm going to stay out here awhile since I am already here.

Leo: Oh. Okay.

*Raph looks over to Kali, who is chuckling into her hand* What's so funny?

*Kali just snickers and shakes her head*

*with a snicker, Machias came closer to the shore, and noticed that Splinter was still in the water. That was when she noticed the look on his face. And the black swim shorts floating nearby.*

Oh NO! *she moaned, shaking her head* Oh no no no no no.......

*with a gentle mental push, she floated the shorts to within his reach, and decided to keep a distance for a few minutes*

Oh man, i didnt even see him! I just hope he doesnt recognize my mental signature....

*looks down at the water, catching the glint of metal passing by* What the?

*Splinter saw the shorts just within his reach, and quickly grabbed them. once he had them on again, he felt something odd, and looked around him...Machias was approaching him, trying to mask what was an obviously guilty look on her face. She opened her mouth to speak, but he signaled for her to be quiet.*

Sp: I believe...*looks around once more* we are not alone....

what do you mean...'not alone'?

*something swims passed them, circling a few times before heading toward shore again*

[Machias Banshee]

*Machias and Splinter exchange glances, her face turning deathly pale*

What...was...that? *she asked, her voice cracking*

Sp: I am not sure, but it is approaching the others...

*Machias follows Splinter's gaze, and her eyes grow huge. She frantically began waving to the turtles in the water's edge.*

Guys!!!!! Get out of the water!!!!!! Something's coming after you!!!!

*Splinter quickly wraps his arms around hers, preventing her from moving.*

Sp: Be still! We do not want it to turn towards us...

Oh god, what on earth is it?!

Sp: Possibly dangerous. Come, we must get submerged so as not to attract it with our splashing...

*Machias quickly nodded, and with one breath, they both dove into the blue waters...*


*Meanwhile, the turtles had been talking (okay, getting cracks at Azure and Don's hydrophobia) when Mike spotted something in the water, quickly approaching them.*

Mike: Uh, Dudes, what's that...?

*Azure tossed the kelp hat aside and followed everyone else's gaze*

Uh... A yellow submarine? :embarass:

Leo: This is no time for jokes!

Mikey: Ya, leave those to me, lil' bro!

*All the turtles began scrambling to get away from the water's edge*

Raph: What the hell is that thing?!

[Machias Banshee]

Leo: it doesnt matter, just get out of the water!

*The turtles jumped back as the great metal 'beast' surged past them, thrashing through the water, bringing up foamy splashes with its 'tail'. The turtles all breathed after the creature swam back out towardsthe water, but not too far.*

Leo: Is everyone okay?

Mike: Where's Machias and Splinter?

*The turtles loked around frantically, seeing no sign of their master and 'sister'*

Mike: you dont think...



*Machias struggled to keep up as they swam under the water. her legs burned, and her lungs felt ready to burst. Splinter, having hte rodent advantages that he did, swam easily through the water, his fur smooth and glossy under the water. He offered his tired student a hand, and they started towards the surface.
Only, that it wasnt the surface. They broke the su4rface of what seemed to be a large cavern. The water was teemintg with bioluminescent organisms, granting enough light to see.*

Sp: *taking a few slowed breaths* Machias, are you all right?
*She ws still holding onto his shoulder, gulping in air like she'd never breathed before*
I'm *coughcough* still alive...where are we?
*Splinter looied around before loking into her frightened eyes.*

Sp: I do not know, but let us find out...in a little while.

*They rested against the wall, letting hte pounding of their hearts slow to the rhythm of the ripples...*

[Skeletoncrew]

*Meanwhile, back at the Technodrome, Skeletoncrew and Krang were watching the news waiting for coverage of the zombie attack when an image of a wet, naked, and embarrassed Splinter popped into SC's head. She chuckled slightly and muttered.*

Now there's something I'd like to see.

Krang: What?

Oh nothing, just talking to myself. I have an over-active imagination sometimes and I'm always a bit weird after I raise the dead.

Krang: Ahhh. Hey look, here's our favorite *sarcastic tone* reporter!

*The anchor had announced a breaking news story and switched over to roving reporter April O'Neil.*

April *with skeptical expression*: We're here on the scene of some sort of panic. Police have moved to cordon off the area, but we've slipped in to see just what is happening. As you can see, the streets are nearly deserted.

*Camera pans street and stops on a man shuffling down the sidewalk. April and the cameraman approach him.*

April: Sir? Would you care to tell us what's happening here?

*The man begins moving towards her with an odd gait.* Brains...

April: What?

*A look of disgust spreads over her features and her hand moves to cover her nose as the man steps into the light of the camera. He lunges towards her and she jumps back. The camera goes topsy turvy.*

*Krang bursts into laughter*

[Machias Banshee]

*The turtles looked across the water, trying to find some trace of their two missing family members.*

Mike; Dudes, i dont like this...

Don: I've never seen anything like that before...

Leo: Okay, okay, guys, dont freak out. I'm sure we'll find them...

Raph: Dont worry, i'm sure they're fine...

turtles: Raph!

Raph: Hey! Machias and Splinter are probably together. They can handle themselves...and if not, that thing can eat Machias...

Mike: Hey, dont talk like that! I dont say things like tha about Kali...!

(( LOL!! Well, if April really is dead, then I bet Vernon gets to be the star reporter now. :razz: ))

*Azure looked very concerned as they continued their search for Machias and Splinter*

Guys... I don't see any signs of them. :(

Leo: Don't worry, we'll find them. Just keep looking.

*The blue turtle began to get nervous*

I knew I should've brought my katana with me...

[Machias Banshee]

*Splinter left Machias to rest against the wall as he scoped out the cavern. under the water, he found a tunnel that lead to an area with some dry land. He came back to the other side, and sufaced.*

Sp: Well, there is a tunnel under the water that we can use to get to some drier ground...Machias? where are you, Child?

*Splinter's heart skipped as he saw that she was no longer in his sight. With a deep breath, he dove and opened his eyes against the sting of the salt water. slowly floating downward, was a unconscious, and morphing Machias.*

*scans around her* I'm not getting anything. There's too much interference.

*creature swims just beyond the shore, keeping to deeper waters for the moment*

Raph: I dont know why, but i have a feeling someone here knows what the hell that was...

*Raph tromped up to Enigma and glared at her*

Raph: What the he'll going on? Is this another one of your 'pets'?

Leo: Raph, cut it out...Panicking's not going to help us--

Raph: I'm not panicking, do i look like i'm panicking, cuz i'm not panicking!

*Mike, meanwhile, looked nervously out over the water. the sky was getting darker, and it would be night soon...*
Mike: Something's wrong, i can feel it...

[Kali]

So can I. *looks out over the water* Well, it doesn't look like it's attacked anything. If we can't see them, most likely they got as far away as they could.

[Machias Banshee]

Mike: You want to try and find them? I mean, yeah, the other's will worry, but i think we can get to them...I just got a feeling something happened. Something bad...




*Splinter wrapped an arm around Machias and brought her to the surface. He supported her against the wall, trying to wake her up.*

Sp: child, please, wake up...*pats her face* Wake up, Machias...

*He looked to the tunnel under the water that led to the other cavern. He looked at Machias, still unconscious, and then took a look of serious determination. With one breath, he and Macias went under the water. He held her in one arm, and swam with the other, trying to get to the other side before it was too late...*

[Kali]

*thinks for a few seconds* Yeah, maybe we should. *turns to Mike* Tell the others to start walking the coast, see if they came up on another part of the beach.

Mike: But, what about you?

I'm gonna go out there *points to the water* to search.

Mike: Are you insane? *sees Kali look* Sorry, didn't mean that that way. I mean, there's no way I'm letting you go alone.

Okay, then let's go.

[Machias Banshee]

*It seemed like forever, but only took a minute until Splinter broke the surface. He lifted Machias's body to the ledge, and pulled himself up beside her. He tilted her head back, checking for a pulse. He sighed in relief. It was still there, but weak.*

Sp: ~Thank Donatello for helping me with the CPR...~

*He began chest compressions.* ~One two three...one two three...~ *He pinched he nostrils the best he could. Her now being a raptor was making things difficult...He took a breath before giving her his. he did so several times, his worry turning to butterflies in his chest. Suddenly, she shook violently, righting herself before coughing up the water. He sat her up, helping her to expel all the water from her lungs.

*coughcough* what happened-- *wheeze* I just blacked out...

Sp: Lie still, daughter, you were very close to walking through the doorway to the next world...*He leaned her against him, whispering a prayer of thanks to all the Gods of all religions for her safe return...*

*eyes spark fiercely, looking ready to nail Raphael herself* Don't push it, Ninja. I'm just as worried as you are but that doesn't give you the right to put the blame on one of mine.

*looks to the others* I'm calling for help. If we're lucky, someone might answer.

Raph: Oh no you dont! No more of your f***ed up pets, nothin!

*no longer able to control herself, she returns to her hybrid state, lashes out her fist and nails Raph right in the beak*

*hisses* For the last time, don't blame one of mine, Raphael. They may be strange at times, but they never hurt anyone I cared about.

*Raph wheels back, into the grip of Leo and Don*

Raph: YOu B****! WHat the hell are you now?!

*straightens, trying to calm herself before she loses it again* What I've always been. I can assume many shapes, but I'm still a hybrid of both human and cybertronian decent.

*turns her back on them* Now, before you so rudely interrupted, I'm trying to call help. Trident, who is NOT a pet but a good friend, lives near here and if I'm lucky, he'll able to help us.

Don: Who is trident?

Leo: and how is he going to help us?

*Raph tries to say something, but Leo sticks a gag in his mouth*

He's a Triton, a type of sea dwelling humaniod. If he hears me, I can ask him to have the others search the waters for Splinter and Machias. They know this area better than any of us and could cover more ground.

Leo: All right....*sigh* I hope theyre okay...


*Meanwhile, Splinter and Machias have 'set up camp. Unfortunately, with no items with heating capabilities, they were getting cold fast...*

It's-s-s-s s-s-so c-c-ol-d-d-d-d-d......*Her lips had turned to a shade of blue, and her body shook all over. Splinter came over and sat beside her, offering what warmth he could give*

Sp: Hush, daughter, save your energies. You will need them when we travel.

T-t-rav-v-vel-l-l....W-w-w-wher-r-e-e?

*Splinter points to a small opening in the wall.*
Sp: There seems to be an open area past that wall, wiht areas that seem safe to walk on. Rest now, and then we will make our way up later.

*Machias nodded and rested her head on his chest, feeling the waves of sleep wash over her...*

*nods, then stands facing the water and starts to recite*

From shore to shore, I call upon thee.
Even in the deepest depths, you hear my plee

So that I may ask for aid needed from the blue!

*silence spreads over the shore for a few moments, before a voice answers*

*a blue figure, nearly seven feet in height, starts to rise out of the water and comes to stand on the beach*

Trident: You called for me, Enigma?

*runs to meet him* Yeah, I did. Thanks for coming so quick, Trident. I really need your help.

*Leo and Don look up in awe, dropping Raph in the process*

Leo/Don: Woah.... :teek:

*Meanwhile back at the Technodrome, after a few minutes of the anchors blathering about the situation, April came back on the air. She and her cameraman were on a delivery truck which was surrounded by a group of zombies.*

*Krang groaned with disappointment.*

April: As you can see it appears that the disturbance we came to report on is a...a, for lack of a better term, a zombie attack!

Anchor: Are you alright?

April: We're fine, though a little shaken. These things don't seem to be inclined to try climbing up here, unfortunately we can't get away from the smell.

Anchor: How do they smell?

April: Rotten! Like decay and dirt.

Anchor: Are you certain that those aren't costumes? This could be some sort of prank.

April: Quite certain. *points at one of the zombies* Look, that one's arm is practically falling off yet the hand is still twitching.

Anchor: Disgusting.

Krang *turning to SC*: Next time we do this, I want the zombies to eat her!

Eat her?! I can't order them to do that!

Krang: Why not?

That would be murder!

Krang: So?

So, I'm not committing murder just because you don't like someone!

Krang *sighs*: Whatever happened to unquestioning loyalty?

Well, don't look at me! *Decides to change the subject* I wonder how Saki is doing?

Trident: *looks over at the Turtles* Are these friends, Enigma?

Yeah, they're cool. They're the reason I called you. Their Sensei, Splinter, and our friend, Machias, are both missing. Something came swimming near the shore earlier and we haven't seen them since. We think something might have happened to them.

Trident: *smiles* And you were hoping that we might be able to help?

More or less. So will you?

Trident: Consider it done, my friend. I will send word at once.

[Machias Banshee]

*Unfortunately, it was at that exact moment Raph was able to remove the gag*

Raph: Excuse me, How the hell do we know it wasn't you who sent that damn thing in the first place!? This could be a trap for all we know...

Trident: *walks up to Raphael and easily picks him up by the neck, bringing him face to face*

*his voice cold* My people do not intentionally harm others. We only attack to defend ourselves and friends. I suggest that you remember that before you find yourself on the wrong side of a spear, Turtle.

*drops Raphael in the sand and heads for the water again*

Trident: Enigma, what are these two like? Human, mutant or otherwise?

*clears throat, shooting Raph a warning glance* Master Splinter is a mutant rat and Machias is a girl, but she can change into a raptor.

Trident: Very well. I will send word when we find anything. *vanishes beneath the waves*

[Machias Banshee]

*Once Trident disappears into the waves, Leo turns and Kicks Raph in the thigh*

Leo: what the heck were you thinking!? We're tryng to find Master Splinter and Machias, and you are just slowing it down!

*turns, glaring at Raph* :evil: You shellheaded idiot! You're lucky that Trident didn't kill you for that. Tritons are sensitive about their honor and you all but insulted him.

[Machias Banshee]

Raph: *gets up and dusts himself off* Well Sorry if i dont like your friends...I leaving...

*Raph ups and leaves the group*

*fumes, calling after him* You may not have to like them, but that doesn't mean you can treat everyone like dirt!

Oh, I'd turn him into a newt if it we didn't have to find the others.

[Machias Banshee]

*Splinter looked down at his young ward. she had fallen asleep almost immediately. He moved his shoulders and neck, trying to get the knots out. Sleeping against a rock is not exactly the best feeling in the world...He smiled at how angelic she looked, though the truth said otherwise.*

Sp: Machias, wake up child, we must go if we are to find a way out...

*yawns* Oh, so tired, Sensei, just a few more minutes...

*Splinter smiled to himself. He'd remember hearing that many an early morning. He nudged her slightly, sitting her up.*

Sp: I'm sorry Machias, once we get back you can rest...

Okay...

*Splinter stood up, and helped Machias to her feet. Splinter splashed his face with water, trying to wake himself. Machias stretched and looked around.*

Well, I guess we'd better start...

Sp: All right, let us go...

*they inched their way through the small hole until they were on the other side, finding tunnels that lead every which way*

Which way do we go?

Sp: *looks upward* that way...come along...

*sighs, turning to Leo and Don as she returns to her human self* All right, what's the plan now?

Leo: I hate to say it, but we cant do much, there's only three of us...

*nods slowly* I guess I should've kept my temper in check, then we'd have that hotheaded brother of yours to help too.

No, not another hill.......

*she groaned as she climbed. they had to travel upward, which meant a LOT of climbing.*

Sp: We must keep going... *offers her a hand*

*she takes it, and makes it up over the crest of the hill. She finally buckles under her won weight, and plunks down onto the floor*

There's gotta be an easier way to do this...I just gotta think.

Sp: Remember Machias, what you may lack in physical traits, your mind makes up for it and much more...*Splinter pauses, and remembers one of their last conversations* what is it that you have been asking me to train you for?

The mental aspects of the Martial Arts, but why would i--oh....yes! I can TK us up and out of here!

Sp: You must be cautious in these kinds of energy uses, Machias. overusing your mantal talent can put others, as well as yourself, in danger...

I think i can do it...Um, okay! *takes hold of his hands, and begins concentrating. suddenly the pair of them are floating up off the ground, and slowly making their way up the cliff face.*

*She was just about to set them on the top of the hill, when she suddenly hiccupped. they both suddenly dropped six feet onto the rock beneath them. They groaned as they sat up...*

Ouch...I guess i need some more practice....

Sp: Fortunately, we seem to have made it...Or maybe not...

*before them, stood the grand structure of... THE TECHNODROME!!!!!*

[Vespera Blaze]

*Manjari lay as still as she could under the trees, her towel and bathing suit forgotten beside her. She could flat out not believe what she was seeing spread out on the beach below her. Turtles that walked upright? Strange blue creatures that walked out of the ocean? That...shapeshifting thing that had hit one of the turtles? She had a brief, slightly hysterical thought about which of the two sets the blue turtle was more closely related too. It matched species with those on the beach, but it matched colour with that thing in the water. She hadn't realized that this continent had its share of weird things too, almost like being back home. Heh. Not likely.*

*A quick headcount came up with four turtles, two humans, a shapeshifter and a thing in the water. She quickly revised her numbers after a recount. One turtle and one human had disappeared, and a second turtle was stalking away from the group, swearing loudly enough that she could hear him clearly. She winced, fairly sure that you couldn't do to someone what he was describing and keep them alive at the same time. Facinated, she returned her attention to the rest of the group.*

Well, I'm gonna go and look. I can't just stand around and do nothing.

Leo: All right, lets go...

*they gathered up their stuff and headed out oin search of their lost family and friends*

*Meanwhile, Raph was walking along the mountainbase, muttering.*

Raph: Why does this stuff happen so damn fast...First Splinter and Machias disappear, and now its Kali and Mike! *goes to lean against the cliffwall* Of all the--

*suddenly the wall behind him crumbles, and he falls backwards down into an underground pit. he hits the ground, hard. He lays there for a second, trying to figure out what the heck just happened. With a groan and a grunt, he picks himself up off the ground and looks around him.*

Raph: Where the heck am I?

*He finds himself in a lage cavern underground, and off in the distance, he sees none other than....THE TECHNODROME!!!!!*

*shifts to her alter self, pulling out a scanner* Stupid thing. It's still got too much interference for me to get a clear reading.

Don: Maybe we can climb some of the mountain so you can get better reading?


*Machias and Splinter looked at the T-Drome in shock. They didnt know it had been so close! She never knew it was so big! She looked to Splinter, who's face was crumpled in thought.*

What do we do, Master Splinter?

Sp: Hmmm...I sensing the strangest feeling someone we know is in there.

Who...?

[Vespera Blaze]

*Manjari watched the group on the ground split up. The one who seemed angry had stalked off on his own, and the rest had taken off in a group. She hesitated, afraid for a moment that one set would stumble across her but it seemed they'd miss her hiding spot. She let out a short sigh of relief. They hadn't seen her. She carefully got to her feet and crept after the lone turtle that had seemed so angry. While it might be dangerous follwing someone (thing?) that was that mad, it was probably safer than following an entire group. Less chance of being noticed, and she wasn't particularly good at this sneaking thing. There were so many dry leaves and branches underfoot! Even so, having discovered these creatures she was unwilling to let them out of her sight. They were an amazing discovery!*

*Raph looked at the T-Drome. What were shredder adn Krang doing here?*

Raph: Well, i guess it's time to pay old Tingrin a visit...

*He gave a feral grin and made his way to the Drome*

Hmm. Might work, but we need to get at a few hundred feet up or it'll still be warped.

Me and my big ideas...

*Kali looked down into the water. She and Mike were sitting on a rock island, the creature from before circling around it.*

Mike: What do we do now?

*Kali thought. The thing had been fast. Too fast for them to get away from it, and they had to take shelter out of the water. But now there was no way to get back to shore while the thing was still guarding them.*

I don't think there's anything we can do.

*Mike lowered his shoulders* Bummer.
