2 "we don't believe in Mikey" episodes are enough.....having it happen over and over again makes the boys seem like jerks....and the writers forcing Mikey to reset back each and every time so the boys can have a legit reason to not believe him is kinda annoying......

character development means that a character is changes/grows.....not regress back to stage 1. :ohwell:

But it's still a realistic approach. I can't relate to this as I haven't any siblings, but have seen it with my family regarding my mother's sisters. Despite being nearly 50 years old, my mother's youngest sister is still treated like the baby and coddled by my grandmother. She isn't like this with my mother (who is the second oldest, nearing 60) or her other kids, but with this particular aunt, she is and will probably always be treated this way by her. I've noticed this with my three younger cousins too (all three siblings). The youngest isn't taken as seriously as the two older ones, despite them all being in their twenties now.

it doesn't matter if it's realistic or not, if the show keeps having Mikey mess up in every episode about him just so he can prove himself it's gonna get repetitive and boring to watch.

I don't want every Donnie episode to be about April
I don't want every Raph episode to be about his temper
I don't want every Leo episode to be about his leadership skills.

it's boring to watch the same stories over and over again, just with a different goal and villain.

I appreciate that they want to show Mikey proving himself....but they need to expand on his stories.

It came from the Depths was a great Mikey episode because it was about his compassion....not how he royally screwed up something in a random episode just so the boys can bag on him......so he in turn can later prove himself.

seriously...it's been like 5 episodes about this....it's like they don't know what to do with Mikey.

I e-mailed amazon about it on Tuesday and in about three hrs, it was up. I guess you have to remind them these days. I should have done this earlier. Whenever I have for the last four or so episodes, they've taken care of it the same day.

I liked this episode. Speed Demon Donnie was insane, but one of my favorites. Rob really stole the show here and rightfully so. Cluckingsworth was another one of my favorites. Guess we'll see her again eventually. I wonder what Splinter is going to think of her if the boys bring her back to NYC. The action bits were cool, and I really dug the turtle racer. Can't wait for the next episode.

BubblyShell22 11-26-2014 07:57 AM

I have a feeling Cluckingsworth will play a role in how they get back to NYC. Maybe her eggs will help power the Turtle Blimp. I'm stoked for the next episode, too, but I have a feeling we won't be seeing it until January.

Yea this show is becoming embarrassing now. I can not handle much more of this. I have hated EVERY episode from Season 3. I don't like horror movies, so those references are useless. I don't like "so crayzee it's SICK!" type mentalities. I don't like insane, "far out" storylines and characters that are designed solely to make a viewer go "well that was weird". I don't like Leo's new voice. The turtles are absolutely brain dead if they still believe that they are one iota safer in this "Farmhouse Of Hell" than back in New York. Every blasted episode is just like that criminally unfunny "Courage, The Cowardly Dog" cartoon that was out years ago which was only funny to people who think "weird" is automatically "good/entertaining". I will probably give it three more episodes to redeem itself. If this malarky continues beyond that, then I am cancelling the series off my DVR.

This was an awesome episode. Way better than the last one. I loved it!

Looks like they have plans on repeating this one (and Dream Beavers before it) next Friday night, for anyone still missing a chance to see it or catch a repeat.

I actually thought this was a decent episode given that sometimes, you need to trigger some old excitement with a twist to keep the series interesting. I liked Cluckinsgworth, thinking that when it touched the mutagen, it would turned into a baddie only to become a new companion. That said, speaking of I miss New York, they may as well be driving in some western state with the sharp cliffs at the side of the mountain, as ironically "lost" describes the direction this series has gone. The Crognard Barbarians continues its solid job with the foreshadowing. But what I liked the most is how the Speed Damon had the power to cause Don to turn evil and hyper, and its always intriguing to get the reactions that took place.

Overall: 7/10

Really? Cool. I'll check out the Dream Beavers one again since I only saw that once, but I'll skip this one since I saw it on Sunday already.

You must be real fun at parties. I just do not get some of you people.

Anyway, another great, fun, hilarious episode. I wonder who on the show is a fan of Ed Roth/Rat Fink.

Dr. Cluckingsworth MD was great.

And this episode actually surprised me. I was totally expecting a Christine story with Donnie finding the car, which was a mutant, and it slowly taking him over and corrupting him until it merged with him, resulting in the Donnie Speed Demon.

This was definitely better than that would have been. Can't wait for the next episode.

Ninjinister 11-27-2014 08:40 PM

Finally saw it yesterday, I really enjoyed it. It's about darn time Steven Jay Blum got a TMNT role outside of The Way of The Warrior, heh.

I hope Dr. Cluckingsworth (MD) makes continued appearances like Ice Cream Kitty does :)

Honestly, Ciro and the gang continue to surprise me with how creative they get.
I absolutely loved this episode.
It's getting so that this might just be my favorite animated version of TMNT.

So irreverent, so much fun.

Please release all seasons on Blu-ray soon. Dvd's just don't cut it.

Shark_Blade 11-28-2014 11:29 PM

I've been asking for blu ray since the dawn of time.

GREAT Episode! Rat Fink Donnie was awesome, the 70s themed / Tarantino sort of music was a great touch. I'm so happy we're watching a show aimed to older people as well as kids, the fan service quality is excellent. Plus, I really hope they will make a vinyl figure lile Kidrobot Speed Demon Donnie or something.

A little late here, but is anyone wondering how many people are shipping RAPHXAPRIL? It's interesting. But.........

I can't say "I ship Rapril." It just feels weird.

Luckyday 12-04-2014 09:26 PM

Well they are similar. The April in this version isn't science incline as she was in the 2k3 series. And Raph is similar to Casey so he's close to April's type.
