Splinter Vs. Yoda

Two very wise, very different sages from two very different universes... who is wiser? Who is a better fighter?

Splinter, the highly revered half-rat, half-man, who knows ninjutsu like the back of his hand and has almost no equal when it comes to executing martial arts techniques. His agility, reflexes, and wit make him a more-than-worthy adversary for any fighter. Can this popular mutant rat ninja master beat Yoda?

Or Yoda, the venerable alien who mentors Luke Skywalker and many others in the ways of the Jedi. Grand master of the lightsabre and an awe-inspiring practitioner of the Force. Beloved by Star Wars fans worldwide, does he have what it takes to beat Splinter?

What do you think folks?

avervisal 08-16-2004 09:04 PM

Are you kidding? Yoda would just use his Jedi mind powers to lift Splinter up into the air and make him spontaneously combust.

Kazari 08-16-2004 09:44 PM

Like what age of Yoda? Episode II Yoda or Episode V?

cqb101 08-16-2004 10:07 PM

Yoda would own that old geezers ass.

Buslady 08-16-2004 10:21 PM

Who cares? I think Splinter and Yoda would be comrades if they fought, it'd be a friendly game of chess.

Ya, and Yoda would win.

NeoBix 08-17-2004 12:46 AM

well... to be honest, I was thinking of Episode 2 Yoda (the one that goes berzerk ninja at the end on count dooku lol) but I suppose you can use any yoda from any of the movies if you want. if splinter fights the older (weaker) yoda, then he has a better chance of winning I think. if he fights the younger, more agile yoda, then, who knows...

SeaThreePeeO 08-17-2004 03:19 AM

I think Yoda and Splinter would just get Luke Skywalker and Leonardo to do the fighting.

Kazari 08-17-2004 05:57 AM

Yeah old Yoda Splinter would have a chance young Yoda then no. LOL

Well in that case, who would win, Luke Skywalker or Leonardo? I still side with Star Wars.

Kazari 08-17-2004 09:02 AM

It depends on if they are allowed to use weapons or powers! LOL Sadly sometimes I think Luke would win but I would be rooting for Leo!

Luke would win. His lightsaber would shop throgh Leo's Katana's and he would be left weaponless.

zkarlette 08-17-2004 10:41 AM

If there were no jedi powers going on leo would win

Kazari 08-17-2004 10:48 AM

Yeah no jedi powers then definitely Leo but with them yes Luke but I would cheer for Leo since I haven't been a fan of star wars since episode I :P

Same here I haven't even seen episode II yet.

Kazari 08-17-2004 11:07 AM

Trust me it's not worth it! LOL They really ruined star wars with episode I and up LOL I liked the old star wars but not the new one. I hope episode III is better.

I used to collect the toys back when the special editions were released in the theaters, but ever since episode 1 my toys have been collecting dust in my basement. I can't believe I paid $6 for those little pieces of plastic. I should've saved up for TMNT!

Kazari 08-17-2004 11:10 AM

Oh I hear ya! I have episode I figs downstairs in the basement collecting dust! I am going to try to sell them. Heck I have Bespin Luke Skywalker still in his box! LOL

avervisal 08-17-2004 11:11 AM

They don't sell for very much on eBay though do they? It's a shame because I really wasted a lot of money on the franchise.

Kazari 08-17-2004 11:22 AM

I don't know honestly! I should sell mine somewhere.

NeoBix 08-17-2004 11:26 AM

So far I've been hearing very good things about Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

Watching Anakin fall and turn into Darth Vader is going to be an interesting cinematic experience I think... don't fail us, George Lucas.

Well I'd rather keep them for show instead of selling them for Jack squat.

At least the title sounds better XD Anakin irritates me so I can't wait for the rise of Vader ^_______^

wheeeww...Splinter vs. Yoda....... hmm. I love Splinter, but I do think he's out matched in fighting skill. But Yoda has an unfair advantage. In wisdom? They may be an equal match... the same types of things frustrate them, they hide the same type of information, etc.

Kazari 08-17-2004 12:31 PM

Yeah....I like the Sith! LOL I REALLY hated how they made Boba Fett to be a dang clone!! GRRR LOL I like this book version better.

heretic888 08-17-2004 01:02 PM

As silly as threads like this tend to be, I suppose I'll employ a little logic for the benefit of all...

Its quite simple, really: no one knows. In the Jedi "universe", force powers exist. In the TMNT "universe", they do not. Splinter fighting in the SW universe would have force powers (mind/body harmony and all that). Yoda fighting in the TMNT universe would not.

We don't know what Splinter beefed with the Force would be like. We also don't know what Yoda sans the Force would be like. Thus, no one really knows.

I notice that people tend to neglect little contextualizations like this to privilege one character over the other. But, logically, this is what the situation would look like.

Laterz.

Kazari 08-17-2004 01:04 PM

I am not going to say anything, Heretic! because it does make sense then it reminds me of a scenario that was used in Mortal Kombat Conquest..how if Rayden went to Out World then he wouldn't have his powers like he did in Earth Realm! But ur logic is flawless :D LOL
