Your FAVE Turtle Toy?

There is many a Turtle Figure collector in this forum. Some are the "NRFB- Never Remove From Box", collector's value-loving types. Others are the "Toys are meant to be played with", give-that-toy-some-air-types. Some are a mix between the two. But whether its value is measured in dollars or in memories, which of your figures is your favorite?

Mine, perhaps, is the original Raphael figure I got - the first TMNT toy I ever received (I'd gotten it for my birthday, along with Bebop and the Footski; some of you remember the latter being driven by The Rat King in TMNT IV: Turtles in Time for the SNES).

Here's a few runners-up (No, that's not "runner-ups"):
-My TMNT Trolls. A freakish mix of two fads. Weird, yet stangely appealing.
-My Mutations figures. Lookie! Regular turtle, Ninja Turtle! Regular turtle, Ninja Turtle! Regular turtle... *Does this for several hours.*
-Some giant stuffed TMNT my dad won at a carnival-esque game at the boardwalk by the beach (I got a Raph and two Leos; they were out of Dons and Mikes)
-Some tiny stuffed TMNT my dad won at the same place (This time I got all four!)
- Storage Shell TMNT. Open it, close it! Open it, close it! Open it, close it... *Does this for several MORE hours.*
- Technodrome. 'Nuff said.
- Movie TMNT figures. All rubbery, and their limbs popped off and reattached so easily! Like Teenage Mutant Potato Heads! Boy, did I mix them up a lot...!

Haha, from the old series, Donatello... he was my fav, and the only one to be one his toes :D Getting a MOSC card one just endorsed that fact *drools*

From the new series, Donatello... again, he's the only one standing on his toes... and he's my favourite character... yay. I think Playmates is tryin to do some kind of Fan service. Including the fact he's hard to stand >_<

cowabunga14 03-17-2005 10:42 PM

My favorite from the old series would have to be the five inch Krang with his Android Body. That figure is really rad. From the new series my favorite figure is Casey Jones. That figure's really great and rad.

Starscream 03-18-2005 01:08 AM

Good ol' Slash beats 'em all for me.

My other favories are Antrax,Movie Star Foot Soldier,Hun,Mutant Masters Donatello, and Road Ready Shredder. Those figures are really rad.

JDavis 03-19-2005 03:09 PM

Old series? Probably the Star Trek ones... I don't actually own them currently, but I have a friend who does, and as soon as I have some spare cash, they'll be mine!

New series? That's a tough one... don't have much of the new line... I really want the Toddler Turtles, but I've only seen them in person once, and I didn't have the money at the time. From what I actually have of the new line... Still a tough call. Either Fugitoid or the Triceriton soldier. They're both cool.

Third catagory: Neither series! My Antarctic Press Usagi Yojimbo figures, for sure! I've got the Glow-in-the-dark variant and the Platinum variant, both mint on card. Rock.

Rat King hands down! One of the cooler characters ever created in the tmnt universe IMO and the best toy...still tryin to get him on card with pop-up display...

Ra 03-20-2005 12:12 AM

i would like to own the new turtles, but since i have no figurines, my Raph plushie (i know. sad isn't it?)

Kora 03-20-2005 01:14 PM

LOL, when I was like, 12, I made these paper TMNT dolls... cause I couldn't get any action figs anymore... Turtles were falling out of fad, at the time. I made each turtle with their weapons, and little paper holsters so that I could store the weapons on their backs... And had slits in their hands so that they could actually HOLD the weapons. I made them little skateboards, and a pizza box, and a Foot Soldier for them to beat up, and even the Turtle Van! I played with those probably more then my toys, because I had the whole set... as for my action figs, I only had a Wind up Leo with a rotating arm and a Spaceman Raph.

But, as for actual toys XD ... I like the new line of regular Leonardo. Dunno why, he's not even my face char... but they did a nice job on his fig.

And I like the old toon Foot Soldier fig. It stands funny :)

Heh heh, I used to do the same thing, with almost any and all cartoon/video game characters I liked; drawing the characters and playing with them like toys. A few were poseable, thanks to some of those little golden pins whose points split open to hold envelopes in place (Good for making parts that spin or rotate). Somewhere, I've got a whole box of 'em that I lamenated so I could use them again and again.

I also discovered how to make my own toys out of felt, hot glue, and cotton (For stuffing). Somewhere I've got a Raphael that can store stuff in his shell and an Earthworm Jim with a detachable, poseable head (It's poseable thanks to a very long twisty-tie in it). Inexpensive, and fun to make!

alotta my family is or has served in the military.. my maw worked at the Army hospital and my father is retired Navy/Airforce..

..despite any of my objections to the current administration.. i have always supported the troops..(durr) ..

.. the past several months i've run across many articles while looking for TMNT news about soldiers getting killed in the war ..they are brought back home for the funeral ..and i'll notice that they were TMNT fans..

.. the parents or family members had the young soldiers laid to rest with their favourite TMNT figure.

This made me real sad..

..i always like the more freekish variations of the TMNT .. the military ones from the early 90s ..about the time of the first Gulf War were very G.I. Joe -ish.. LIEUTENANT LEO is classic..

..one of my favourites.. he currently is sitting on my break light greeting other drivers behind me..

.. alotta soldiers i hear talk about all these 'rememberance' and support stickers people put on their vehicles ..and it makes them sick..

.. i really hope this is not in bad taste.

.. i was just really sad at all those stories.. and i'm so angry about the situation..

I love Lieutenant Leo! I have one still on card. (plus 1 loose)

I always loved the Movie Star figures and the Toon Turtles!

As for the new series, I'd say my most favorite would have to be the Casey Jones figure.

Yeah that was a great figure. It's sad many are dieing over there but it's uplifting to know that (hopefully) they'll be going to a better place. Cool though that they were tmnt fans and were buried with their favorite toy. This may sound weird but when I was little I loved my original Leo so much I would take it everywhere (school, everywhere) and had it in mind that I would be buried with it when I died. Now I've ditched the material possesions being a part of me phase and like the toys but don't have any plans being buried with it since I'll be freaking dead, what do I care. Seriously if I don't get cremated I'll hire some kid in wood shop to make me the crappiest coffin ever becuase who the hell is going to see it underground and what will I care if it's comfortable or not, I'll be DEAD.

aramconbrat 04-05-2005 11:41 PM

Small Krang's Android Body. Found one randomly in Yahoo Auctions of a few years ago. Seeing that toy was what pushed me into buying up all the ninja turtle stuff I find these days!

And yet, I don't have a small Krang's Android body... Kinda ironic but one should be coming from the States soon

donnie'zfan 04-13-2005 01:05 PM

I like the new Donatello :) he's My fav but I think You already knew that :D

Right now the only figures I own are

Original Shredder
New Toon Shredder
New Toon Usagi Yojimbo

Of the three, I suppose New Toon Shredder is my favorite. Original Shredder is rediculous-looking, and his feet make him nearly impossible to stand up. Usagi is cool but his arm articulation is awful. He's constantly in "gimme a hug" position.

New Toon Shredder's pretty sweet.

When I was a kid, and had a thousand TMNT toys, I guess my favorites were Casey Jones, Krang in his bubble-walker, the original TMNT, and transforming Mike.

I always wanted a Slash, though.

Doctor Malignus,Battle Nexus Michelangelo,Silver Sentry,Multi Arm Shredder,Claw Shredder,Zanramon Space Cruiser,and Ultimate Daimyo.

The original Donnatello also brings back memories because my dog at the time kept eating him, and only him.
