I always liked those guys but they kinda went downhill after Muppet Treasure Island, and don't even get me started on that movie they set around Gonzo's family.

kyabetsu 02-23-2003 12:17 PM

Muppets Rule.

Donatello02 02-23-2003 12:48 PM

Strong Bad could whip up on all of'em.

J Legault 02-23-2003 12:58 PM

Well Jim Henson diid helped out the TMNT costumes for TMNT 1 & 2.
I like the Splinter Puppet. :D

Machias Banshee 02-23-2003 01:07 PM

Splinter looked his best when Jim Henson took care of things... :D

the second movie was dedicated to the talented Mr Henson, after he died....

J Legault 02-23-2003 01:09 PM

True.

Dontebell 02-23-2003 01:15 PM

Tokka-B 02-23-2003 01:31 PM

beaker 02-23-2003 02:14 PM

The Muppets eh? Oh, I dont know...I guess Im kind of a fan.
If being into them since I was little, going to MuppetFest in 2001 and being able to meet them and the performers, spending countless hours helping out on http://www.muppetcentral.com , buying the great new figures, having a massive archive, and otherwise being one of the biggest muppet fans in the world...then yeah...I guess you could say Im a fan;)

For those that think Muppets suck...get some imagination. they aint the kiddy nostalgic crap your thinking. If anyone saw the Very Merry Muppet Movie Xmas special in November on NBC, you probably spit out your soda at all the inuedno and envelope pushing humor that flew by the censors.

The upcoming Fox show will show the world just how edgy and audacious the Muppets can be. Heck, the original Muppet Show was called "The Muppets: Sex and Violence" in 1974.

But seriously, how could you not like the Muppets/Jim Henson Company/Creature Shop? Sure th eMuppets havent been at the top of their game since 1989...but LIKE THE TMNT, they are comign back. I mean Pepe the King Prawn...that guy rocks, o'kai?

Muppets, Fraggle Rock, Sesame Street, Farscape, Storyteller, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, TMNT(first one), etc. They even did the animatronics and puppetry fro a ton of films from 2001(Harry Potter, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Cats and Dogs, Dinotopia, etc)

*me, championing the cause of the Muppets and anime worldwide to those who have no imagination*

cqb101 02-23-2003 02:19 PM

I loved the muppet show but other than that I never really watched them nor have I seen the movies. Pepe is so F'ing funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dontebell 02-23-2003 02:26 PM

Dontebell 02-23-2003 03:37 PM

Tokka-B 02-23-2003 05:51 PM

beaker, you are the mighty muppet god here, so I am hoping you to answer this question....Are they planning to release muppet babies dvds at any time, it seems they have the muppet show on dvd.....and will it be in seasons?! Thanks!

TMNT is cooler than MOTU 02-23-2003 06:43 PM

Muppet Babies....that takes me back. I used to love that show back when it was on Nick Jr.

Unfortunately there isnt any current plans to release em on dvd...though I agree, they really need to. Muppet Babies was one of my fave cartoons growing up, and I miss it. They are however going to release Fraggle Rock(at least a few volumes) on dvd later this year(at least tentatively)

DarthRaphael 02-23-2003 09:29 PM

My wife and I are Muppet Fans. We have talked about gettign the series on DVD several times but haven't got 'em yet. We have most of the movies, my favorite still being the first one.
I also watched Fraggle Rock and Muppet Babies. I miss these shows and I hope that my children could grow up watching them as I did.

One Radical Dude 02-23-2003 09:43 PM

I enjoy the Muppets. I also enjoyed the Muppet Babies. I always wondered why they never showed Nanny's face?? :teek:

...agh...yes, Fraggle Rock......well.....they rocked!!

Dontebell 02-23-2003 09:45 PM

Toys R Us no longer carries the Muppet figures. The most likely places to find em is at you rlocal mall(Electronic Boutique, Suncoast, Sam Goody)
or at your local comic book shop. Series 3 has been out for a few weeks, but a lot of places still have series 2. But if you think the figures so far have been cool...just check out wave 4:
http://www.palisadestoys.com/new/MUP...PET4_MAIN.html

and series 5-6!

For the latest up to date on the great new Muppet figures:
forums.palisadestoys.com
forum.muppetcentral.com

And yeah, those Muppet Show dvds are GREAT! I just got another one, it has three shows...and one of em is a Star Wars episode, where some of the characters from Star Wars(Luke Skywalker, C3po, R2D2, and Chewie) star on it. Great stuff. Also that Fox show looks to be shaping up pretty good.

Dontebell 02-23-2003 10:40 PM

i been to two eb game store and none of them sell em but this one at the mall have one resident evil that sold out in two day last year. and i don't got suncoast and sam goody.but i didn't know comic book store sell'em too i might call them and see they got'em.and i like those wave4,wave5 and wave6 figure i'm gonna buy that pepe figure

J Legault 02-23-2003 10:50 PM

I heard one Muppet Baby episode had some of them dressed as the ninja turtles but I only seen afew. I like those closet doors with clips from movies either the need something from the closet then there would be a movie monster or a Sci-fi Robot.

Dontebell 02-23-2003 11:21 PM

when the new fox muppet show gonna start? and where can i download that song that feature the muppets in quick time and mp3?

I'd say hopfully this Fall on Fox, but who knows.

As for the Muppet song...are you refering to the cool Weezer Muppet Show video? If so...
http://www.weezer.com/audiovideo/index.html

contains the video for 'Keep Fishin' featuring the Muppets, and the 15 minute MTV special with Pepe and Rowlf.

Dontebell 02-24-2003 12:19 PM

beaker the comic book store don't sell'em too

Donatello 02-24-2003 12:26 PM

It was brief, but it happened. They sang to some opera song, though.

I'd have to say my favorite episodes of Muppet Babies were the Star Wars episode and "Bug Busters". At least those were the most memorable.

Also my favorite episode of The Muppet Show had to be the Star Wars episode (where Mark Hamil, C-3PO and R2-D2 guest starred).

Dontebell 02-24-2003 07:17 PM

hey do meijer still sell the muppets figures?

J Legault 02-24-2003 08:39 PM

Long live Frank Oz!

Reznorite420 02-25-2003 04:04 PM

Yoda: Wars not make one great...

Vespera Blaze 02-26-2003 01:40 PM

Jim Henson. Man? or God?

I loved the muppets, and just about anything that Jim Henson studios got their hands into

Raph's_Girl 02-26-2003 02:04 PM

The muppets are cool. I was actually kinda psyched when the penguins hummed Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit". And Rizzo on "Fear Factor"!

Jephael 02-26-2003 03:27 PM

Man I wish I had seen that one. Was he a contestant or part of the experiment?

ninjapizza 02-27-2003 07:46 PM

I may be mistaken but wasn't that just this past Very Merry Muppet X-mas?
Anyway, i like Muppets. :)

Raph's_Girl 03-04-2003 04:30 PM

Yes, it was. And Jeph, he was part of the experiment. You know, the one where the contestants have to stick their heads in a cage full of rats.
