TMNT Redesign Challenge #1 - Splinter

Inspired in other forums that I´m part in, I searched for it in The Technodrome and found noting like it. So I´m willing to start one Redesign Challenge.

I'm totally doing this. Is this like a prizeless contest or just a way to share ideas?

No price, just a fan challenge to share ideas, after day 20 I will start a poll with all the art submitted and we can vote on our favorite, just for the fun :)

Here's mine. I decided to make him look more like a real rat in japanese clothing with scabbards rather then a mutant. Hey, it's only for fun right? :D

I like those rodent-teeth!!, ....but only no idea how much high you design him! ....maybe you can draw something like reference!!! more or less than a standar-human size???...

Foot Soldier is winning until now... I would like to try April... I like to draw girls :evilgrin:

I would much rather draw a foot soldier then april. I'm not a big fan of drawing chicks, or humans in general. It kinda bores me. My vote had gone to bebop. He's a favorite of mine. :D

Yeah I wanna know too! I've been really wanting to buy one. Thats a neato drawing though!

actually it took me round 2 hours i guess, think I watched 4 penn and teller episodes while drawing.
I use photoshop and a cheap-ass tablet from bamboo that costed 1000 NOK ($176)

I'm very new to tablet drawing and coloring, but I'm getting there

I wanted to use my tablet but I needed to spend time away from the monitor so I did a marker sketch with dieing markers :(

Now that's a Splinter you might find pasted underneath a city bridge! Nice style, almost graffiti-esque.

I drew one very quickly with my tablet. I like the "cartoony" look.

Didn't color it though!

Awsome! & somebody better vote for the foot soldier cause drawing april is the most boring thing in the planet. Most who would wish to are just pervs anyway.

Well, I'll admit this isn't much of a "redesign" since I was really just messing around with concepts from the Image series when I drew this, but I figured I'd add it to the collection!

The Gargoyle concept is interesting... is a new mutation?

It was just a more cartoonish version of Splinter's bat transformation in Image Volume 3.

I didn't particularly like that plot direction but it was at least interesting enough to pick my imagination.

I hope this is okay - I just sketched one more. In between posting the last one and now... took about 10 to 12 minutes. The tablet is becoming more intuitive.

God girl...aren't you only like 17? I've been drawing since before you were born and still you put some of us on here to shame!!!
