I'm not a very good artist :embarass: but i already scanned one pic to show to mondo gecko and...well...i felt like posting this :goofygri:

Thanks :) btw i would like to point out that mondo gecko does not have beard in the second pic, its just shading that went bad :P i didnt wanted to erase it because i might erase his mouth or maybe his chin :teek:

Thanks guys... :anime: Jeph nice pic, it reminded me of a ninja turtle i drew on my house's wall some years ago...tho i didnt colored it.
I should color my work like jeph did, but since im not very good at it i'm just waiting untill i learn how to color in photoshop...i might do a pencil colored one for the heck of it but i dunno how it might turn out :P
Hmmm...oh btw the skating pic is i was doing turned out so-so, gecko came out fine but i couldnt draw his friend mikey, then i got frustrated and started trying over and over again...and now his body looks weird :blanksta:

Well here's my try at a human mondo gecko piccie, i dont like his legs, and i cant draw hands so thats the best it'll look but i guess its fine, besides, if i draw everyone just standing i'll never get better :P

Yikes, sorry i havent seen this comment before :embarass: you like my shading?Cool :D Shading is what i enjoy to do the most in a drawing, tho i never studied how to do shading or anything so its by no means perfect, but its been getting better with time i think :)

Yeah.. horses are one thing I can draw blindfolded. Takes some effort and observations for me to draw everything else. As they say... practice maketh perfect! :D

Someone once said you have 10,000 bad drawings in your system, only when you get em out you can start doing good drawings...i dunno if it was chuck jones or walter lantz.

Asides from the anatomy being a little off... the hat has got to go. Unless you live by people who wear helmet sized hats on top of their hair.

Pay no attention to mikey whatsoever, he's totally anatomically incorrect :P i was just trying to draw a mikey but it wouldnt come out very well and i gave up.
I like mondo gecko in this picture to a degree, but that's about it.

i like your stuff Nicko... you're right, practice is key.

the only suggestion i've got is that you get yourself some darker leads...
b/c your drawings are SO light! i wanna SEE 'em... don't be shy. PUSH HARD. DRAW IN INK!! or with a fine tip marker! it does make erasing more difficult, but you'll see that you get a clearer feeling of MOTION with that kind of thing... a hazier outline that implies movement and can give your art a distinctive "stylized" flare....

anyways. yeah. even if pen is too permanent for you, at least push harder w/ that pencil. those cool anime eyes of your should really sparkle with just a little more contrast.

but yeah. those are sweet drawings. keep it up!

Thanks for the tips, i rarely modify my drawings now that i think of it, so i guess i'll start using a pen once the sketch is done...i do have ink, but nowhere to put it in to so i'll just use a normal pen.
I'm glad you liked my art too, i like doing the anime eyes as i think they look better and can express feelings better thru em, tho some people hate the "big eyes" but i prefer em.

I think your picture with mondo and mikey skating is the best. I know you said ignore mikey, but i think the only thing ya gotta do is make him wider, and it should be good. im no expert, but that is my guess :P anyway, you are way better drawer than me :) i would get some pictures of random stuff I drew up, but i dont have a scanner :( !

Yeah i've been practicing drawing after some months and im finally able to do some decent stuff :p
And yeah, shading is what i like to do most :) so i'll hopefully get better at that too...i gotta learn that light source stuff tho or else it wont look all that well
