Custom NECA Style Splinter

Looks great. I know I have my 2007 Splinter out with my NECA Turtles, so he's a perfect base. Kinda makes me wonder kind of articulation a NECA Splinter would have actually had.

Looks Great! Best custom Splinter I have seen. I like how you shaved down the mutton chops from the original figure to more closely resemble the Mirage Splinter.

This is great. I had a similar idea a while back but never got around to it. Your paint work has the correct neca feel and it fits nicely in the line. Only thing I would add would be more shading in the face. E&L always had darker faces for splinter. Keep up the good work man :)

Excellent work my man. Looks like it walked right off some of those Vol.4 pages in certain shots. Really nice work. I think the 2K7 Splinter is my favorite sculpt hands down, but you really transformed it in a totally different way. Probably the best comic style Splinter I've seen. Nicely done!

That´s a fantastic job, congrats. Just a question, don´t you think that, regarding the size, the old splinter figure would be even better? Cause, as far as i can remember, neca splinter is shorter than the turtles. Still, u have made one of the coolest neca splinter i have seen so far.

Well, I've been getting a lot of positive responses and pms about this guy, and I usually put my first run customs on eBay, and this was no exception. I listed him tonight after my Nick Turtles ended, :tgrin:

congrats on the winner of the auction. $91! nicely done, the sculptor should be very proud of his work.

I would love to own it but could not justify the cost, personally :) It looks VERY close to what I believe an official NECA Splinter would have looked like. Every time I look at it I just can't help but admire it.

That's a pretty good Splinter custom, he fits perfectly with the NECA TMNT, I need to get me one of those Splinters. Not sure if you were going for an exact Mirage comics style or not, but I think his outfit was white in the comics, kinda like in the movies.

I've seen a couple of people create this custom but your version is my favorite. The little details on it make it really stand out.

He looks awesome, blends right in w/ the brothers

i love seeing these NECA style figures... but only if they look great. and this one is great. it actually fits in with the Turtles figures. Although i have to agree with Playhouse that Splinter always had deep shading in the face back in the early issues of TMNT. not sure how it would look on this custom though... might just ruin your awesome work. so...
