What should Karai mutate into?
 

So if this is happening (And I'm sure it is) what should Karai mutate into even if it's temporary?


I'd say something agile and swift, something she can still be a ninja in.

Either a rat, or a turtle. Being a rat, she could see life through her fathers eyes, which could help improve their relationship. As a turtle, it's a funny nod to Venus, and lets her fall into the sister role a lot easier.

I think a fox would be a good fit but it would draw too many Ninjara/Alopex comparisons.

A Fox so Karai could become Ninjara.

I don't want a mutant Karai, but if she does mutate, I like the idea of a fox.

Well if I was the Shredder then probably a snake to bring more insult to injury towards
Splinter's mutation as a rat.

If she mutates and stays mutated past the finale I think it will be a shark jumping moment. I think Ciro knows better.

I hope it doesn't last long if she does, ask for the question a fox would be a good one for her.

I'd also like to see a fox mutant, but am doubting this will happen. Whatever she mutates into, I'm sure she'll wipe the floor with somebody. Golden mongoose, maybe? Aw I dunno. It could be something no one is expecting, knowing Ciro. That's a good thing, though.

Females tend to mutate into feminine animals, so a fox sounds very likely.

I may be in the minority, but I have a feeling she won't be the "1 more mutation" that Shredder was talking about... I could be wrong though.

If it was karai, then I would think either a snake or cat would be fitting as both eat rats/mice.

Maybe Donnie will have created another batch of retromutagen to be used for Splinter, but Splinter will choose to cure his daughter instead.

I do agree with this notion. I am honestly hoping Kuro Kabuto gets to become the mutant Shredder wants to have.

However, I guess even if Karai wasn't intended to be the mutant, she'd still fit in Shedder's plans because apparently, Stockman knows how the mutagen functions given how he can create 76 specific animals.

My first impulse is to say "fox", but Alopex and Ninjara are both distinctive characters with their own history; I feel it'd be doing them a disservice to combine them with Karai.

A cat would be suitable as it has the fluidity of movement and would give space for some nice character beats between her and Splinter; my one issue with it is that it seems a bit gender-stereotyped (the cats = feminine assumption).

It could be interesting to see some type of arachnid mutation - think less Spyderbites and more Black Arachnia from Beast Wars; some of Karai's movements have always seemed a little spider-like to me.

Something that wouldn't look to wierd with boobs, a frog maybe?

Or how about something that would make sense to have boobs like IDK a mammal maybe?

Had to look up pics, but Black Arachnia seems to fit Karai's stature quite nicely. It would be interesting for her to mutate into something like that if she ever does get mutated.

Oh my god. That strangely sounds likely. Ragnar is always with tokka. Well we have razhar. And it would seem possible that the last thing to touch Karai is a turtle.

For some reason I'd like to see her mutated into a sloth, or just something that would be the antithesis of her personality.

I kinda would like to see her mutant into a cat. Would be a great homage to "The Catwoman from Channel 6" in the OT. Only this time it's Karai mutating instead of April.

When someone asked Playmates about a Karai figure, they said that "Mutated Karai" is coming in 2015. So she's getting mutated.

I've asked this many times and never seem to get an answer. Where did that Playmates email originate from? Looked like something that easily could've been faked.

I'd like to see a bird if it has to happen. I know that the mutation is probably gonna happen, but I do hope it's temporary.

Well let's not forget when we found out that they were making new Bebop and Rocksteadys for the new show, and some of us (myself included) just thought it was the the retro line... and here we are.

I really want Karai to be mutated and let it stick, at least for a while. That would be a totally drastic change to an established character that I really want to see.

I think it will be interesting if Karai does get mutated, in terms of how she'll react. Is it going to be something that'll drive a rift between her and Shredder/push her closer to Splinter and the Turtles? Or will it cause her to withdraw from all of them and strike out on her own? Will she go kind of crazy-ish, or retain her mental faculties?

There are a lot of different ways that it could play out and I'm looking forward to it, if for no other reason than we're getting a female mutant (which we don't get every day), it's Nick Karai (who I like), and it has the potential to be a lot of fun. :D So consider this fangirl excited!

A spider would be interesting, but we already have Spider Bytes... and it makes no sense for her to turn into some strange curvy female spider thing.... while Vic turned into a Pokemon.

Karai's sexy, so she'll most likely be mutated into a sexy spider.

JK though mutagen has unpredictable properties, so who knows what will happen to her.
