articulated tmnt?

All,
I think the mutating figures have one of the best articulations. Any chance w'ell see figures of the tmnt from the new show that LOOK like they do in the new show? the original 4 tmnt figs from the new line sure dont look like they can pose or fight in the ways the dudes in the show do. Just wondering.

lhb412 10-09-2003 08:51 PM

Well the new line of armored turtles will have removable armor (In other words: normal TMNT underneath) and they're super posable, they look like completely new sculpts too!

darthsmozers 10-09-2003 08:59 PM

these turtles we already have lookl true to the comic versions...short and stout. in the show, they look pretty acrobatic.

lethrhd 10-09-2003 09:12 PM

so when are these armored turtles comin' out again?

Kid Icarus 10-09-2003 09:18 PM

pry next year's my guess.

although they may be holiday season toys, and the mutations would be next year then.....

OA 10-10-2003 04:39 PM

Besides these armored turtles coming out, does anyone know what the next turtle variation will be (i.e. extreme sports, armored, ???)? Not that im a big fan of just doin different variations of the turtles, cuz I love all these side characters being put out, but i was just wonderin...

lhb412 10-10-2003 06:08 PM

Well, I'm guessing the mutating figures will come out after the armored turtles.

the next variants are the Mutatin' Turtles. basically just reworks of the old 'Mutatin''line.

Does anyone have pictures of the armor turtles? I know there has most likely been a thread on them somewhere but does anyone have a link?

OA 10-10-2003 06:55 PM

oh yea..forgot about them..hehe

Does anyone else think that those look really messed up?

darthsmozers 10-11-2003 12:21 AM

they look like kids will enjoy them, as they should.

BTW-found nano robot and the new foot tech ninja today :)

Nope, they look fine to me. Since all the armor is removable, and we get super articulated turtles out of the deal. We win, and the kiddies win. Yay! :D

EZweasel 10-11-2003 01:19 AM

they dont look super articulated but way beter than the originals, and hey it might just be the armor covers up the articulated parts

Look at Mikey for the best look at them. You can see the articulation joint at the knee and the ankle. So far we have head (1), ball jointed shoulders (4), elbow cut-joints (2), wrists (2), ball jointed legs (4), knees (2), ankles (2). So it looks like around 17 (maybe more) points of articulation per figure. Since ball-joints count as 2 points of articulation. :)

EZweasel 10-11-2003 03:34 AM

i wish the elbos would bend like the knees.

Aaron 10-11-2003 06:52 AM

I think they look pretty cool. Especialy Leo and Don.

Eye of Sarnath 10-11-2003 10:56 AM

As far as I can tell, the armored TMNT have only two more points of articulation.

space turtles.

lhb412 10-11-2003 07:17 PM

The only thing I don't like about the armored Turtles are their helments, I'll just take the helments off of them, otherwise they look great. New face sculpts too!

Same here. I wasn't too crazy about them when I first saw the pics. When you picture them without those doofy lookin' helmets though, they should be pretty cool.

I dunno..im kinda diggin the helmets..i mean how many turlte figures have actually come out with removable helmets? I think it shoudl be pretty neat... :D

cqb101 10-13-2003 07:47 PM

I really like articulated turtles! I really like figures with lots of artivulation, because I enjoy building dioramas, and recreating scenes from the show.

Psycho Da Turtle 10-14-2003 10:49 AM

These seem to be much better than wave one.

The articulation, of course, awsome. I am not one to leave my figures in box, I take 'em out and play, so this is a plus.

Also, They will likey fit better on the vehicles now, especially for sitting in the turtle shell.

The belts look nicer now too, that they arent blackish, but brown like in the toon.

I wish we could see the back shell.

The breastplates of the shell look better too.

I like the facial expressions more, they look more detailed.

EZweasel 10-14-2003 11:05 AM

dang i want to get all in this series and i actually like these, but im a MOC collector... i sorta want to play with these, but i dont know what i should do

Get em and open them, they are for playing with. You can't really appreciate them unless you crack them open and admire them from all angles. :)

OA 10-14-2003 05:10 PM

You can always get 2 of each: one to admire and one to play with. Problem solved! pocets emptier too

trez 10-14-2003 06:23 PM

Or you could be like me and remove the toys without damaging the cards...

Rob_003 10-21-2003 07:49 AM

These new armor Turtles look great. I wish they had done more for the new Shredder tho. They just repainted the orginal skulpt and gave him a new head mold. Im still picking up 2 of each of them tho.
