Has anyone ever thought about what other animals the producers could have used instead of turtles and if so, would it have been as much of a sucess as the Turtles? It helps if it rhymes with the rest of the title, (Teenage Mutant Ninja Newts?).....lol |

Look who's talking...keep in mind this is also one of those typical "Mirage-retarded" people who thinks TMNT started as the cartoon. Here was his reaction to after I told him about how it really started: "OK, but first off how did they [Eastman and Laird] figure that a goofy comic full of turtles in colored bandanas..." At that moment I had to stop him. From day one that guy thought he was right about everything, not just TMNT. He and even got into a debate on whether Weird Al Yankovic actually made his original songs (he firmly believed that he didn't, but in fact his original:parody ratio is about 50/50). I'll stop ranting now. |

I wud have sed lizards too, but what about rats? what if they had decided to use Rats for the turtles (since there are coutless down in the sewers) and Yoshi turned into someting else such as a lizard - or maybe even stayed as a rat? A whole family of mutant rats in the sewer.

Now there's a possibility. If my knowledge serves me correctly, Eastman's original TMNT drawing was of Michaelangelo. So what if Leo had been a salamander, and Donatello a racoon like I brought up before?

I'm seeing... Teenage Mutant Ninja BUNNIES!!! Michaelangelinio would be crazy for carrot soup. Leonardi would probably brush up on the art of hopping some twenty feet high in the air. Donamushi would definitely be thinking of different technologies all powered by carrot juice. Raphion would probably be hop kicking people on the streets. As for Splinter, I'd rather he be a rat... rats and bunnies always seemed like a perfect couple to me!

I've created years ago a Samurai horse and a flying fox(that's a big cute bat). I named the bat after Toshiro Mifune's Kikuchiyo from 7 samurai, i love that character. THe horse , i never did much with.
