1st Movie question
 

In the first TMNT, why is it that Raph's the one who's beaten to near-death by the Foot instead of Leo? It's always Leo who's beaten in every other version of that story, IE the comic and the new cartoon. Anyone know why they changed it and used Raph for that plot instead in the first movie? Thats something I've been pondering on for a while.

I'm guessing because Raph in that movie was the one who went into a tantrum and decided to leave instead of Leo? Also because if Leo was the one to go, it might have lost some effect with the kids watching it (would've been TOO tragic for them to watch at the time to see the leader get almost killed instead of another character).

Yeah, they decided to develop Raph's character the most in the movie, so I gues thats why they had him pummeled to near death

Indeed, Raph seemed to be the focus on the first movie more than the others, at least in the first half. In the beginning with the loss of the sai and the cursing, then his meeting April and Casey and bringing them into the Turtles world, his one on one with Splinter, and finally being beaten near to death and his recovery.

That was just because the singer was retarded, there was a topic about that a loooooooong time ago.

I thought we went over this a long time ago...it's not referring to the turtles in the song, but SPLINTER!

I notice that Raph blames for himself in the movies. His charater is hot-head. Yeah the movie staff did focus on Raph a little too much. But atleast a good number of people like the first movie.

When the turtles are celebrating on the rooftop after Casey and April kiss what is it that Raph said the first time? It sounded like mitchin? or $itchin or something, not sure.

I think it fits more, Raph stomping off the ngetting his butt kicked, it just seemed right than Leo.

he fights just as good as the rest
he makes the best jokes
and hes way smarter thean the rest

Raph was the only turtle who wore the trench coat.

Raph was easier to identify w/ because he was a hot headed teenage rebel. We all like rebels cause they are hard asses. I noticed w/ the new show and generations the kids favorites have been Leo and Don....maybe a reflection on todays society :-? but what happened to the good old rebel being the coolest?

Never or less Raph was my favorite turtle anyway. I'm surprise alot of people like me like Raph so much. :o

Don was really funny in the 1st movie

yeah he was funny in 1, he was still cool in 2 but I liked Corey's voice as Don better. I missed Don's goofy jokes in 2, but I thought it was cool they added his little trait of using a pool cue thingy on the bo, like just before he whacks those 2 foot goons when they were rescueing Raphers.

Don sucks compared to the others

I thought Don was good in the movie. He's the smartest of the group and he tries to say a cool quote.

Notice his voice was pinching in Movie 1, then in Movie 2 his voice was more normal, Movie 3 his voice was back to pinching.

Different voice changes I can tell.

*tsks Duke and Donnyman444* Hey now....no turtle dissin'! -.- Though I have to say, while Donny is my fave, I wouldn't say he's the best turtle. I wouldn't say /any/ turtle is the best turtle. I have faves, but I don't see them as being better than the others, just what I see as more like able.

Donnie's pretty cool, if it weren't for him the turtles wouldn't have all those super cool techno gadgets and as others have already said, he can be funny. His double at with Mikey in the first movie was great.

Don did do a few good parts in the movie like him and Casey discussing about Gilgan's Island and don acusing Casey a Claustrophoic.

Donatello's moves in the first movie KICKED ASS since Ernie Reyes Jr. (Keno) did the fighting double the Don costume. Raph and Leo's moves were good too but Mikey's moves, besides when he used the nunchaku kinda sucked.
