Don’t give up. I predict at least an Annual and a crossover miniseries in 2027. |

Why do covers for this issue depict Chameleon, Jagwar, Wyrm and Alopex? Were they... Ever part of this series?
|
This issue will also be crossover with Last Ronin universe because Old Man Mikey will also appear, also based on cover A it looks like Mister Ogg will also have some role here

Also Sarah most likely hinted on yesterday article at AIPT site that 1987 Turtles might appear again in some crossover story, it is on article linked at top of this thread, specifically this part, here "never forget: There are always more dimensions and portals out there, and many more adventures to be had. Thanks for reading and Cowabunga!”
|
Did Erik ever said that Old Man Mikey from Battle Nexus comic is same version from Last Ronin or not?

I love Ken Mitchroney opting for the Archie designs for certain characters on his variant cover. (Especially the extra happy Slash with his beloved palm tree.)

But I was thinking of that cover with the characters running in a curving line. You know, the ones that has characters that debuted in this particular series and/or were in the FW cartoon its intended to be in continuity with. So it's kinda odd that a character like Alopex is there, alongside Jagwar... And also features the Archie design of Slash. You know, the cover that mostly seems to homage what this particular series was about, yet still feature token elements that had nothing to do with it? ... By the way, who's the red fox in the blue jacket? |

Mitchroney has never actually worked on this book. He’s a throwback who does covers occasionally. They clearly just let him have some fun with this one and do whatever. Quote:

One thing that stinks about the series getting cancelled is the fact that Schoening never did a Mirage #1 cover recreation. Sad!

We’ll have to agree to disagree because I think it would be freaking cool to see.

New Turtle Tracks about the end of the series featuring Burnham, Myers and Delgado just dropped. I’m only 5 minutes in, I’ll report back if they drop any nuggets.

It’s definitely worth a listen if you’re a fan of the series, but no real news that we didn’t already know.
The only tidbit about #41 was pretty disappointing. I was under the assumption that Myers and Schoening were both doing full-length stories, but Schoening is only getting 6 pages. 2 of which are a spread that tease stuff from the other 9 issues they had planned had the book made it to #50. |

Sorry, I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking.
Sarah Myers is doing the main story for the final issue. Dan Schoening is doing a 6 page backup story about Old Man Michelangelo (his brothers are “missing”, so it’s like a FW Last Ronin situation). Burnham’s goal was to make it issue #50, so he had story ideas for 9 issues that we’ll likely never actually see, but the final page will be a 2-page spread that shows bits and pieces of these untold stories. |
Wait, I did forget one interesting reveal. They ultimately decided against it, but they were considering doing the final arc either in the full-on Red Sky motif, or potentially just turning the sky red and leaving the character designs as is.
I'm glad they didn't go that route. |
It's bad enough they were essentially trying to bridge the gap to the red sky to begin with, a big part of why Sat Adventures was something of a frequent turn off for me

As much as the marketing and the casuals insist this series is between those two episodes, it just isn’t. Once I was able to view it as an alternate timeline branching off after season 7, it became much more enjoyable for me. |
Yep, it all stems back to issue #2 of the mini-series, which can only possibly exist during season 2.
Saturday Morning Adventures is an alternate 1987 timeline where the Turtles were introduced to TCRI during its second season, Michelangelo never swapped his nunchaku for a grappling hook, which leads to Shredder not destroying the Channel 6 building in Get Shredder! Personally, I see this as the only way this comic can realistically exist. |

Granted I wouldn't ever tell someone that something that happened in a comic book of a tv show is actually 100% canon to the show itself like some people online seem to get all anal about. |
It is interesting how they managed to fit everything in there.
The Turtles Forever Technodrome appears implying that it's a future event. Tiger Claw and the worm appear, suggesting that his random encounter in the 1987 world will be a future event. We saw Lord Dregg implying the Red Sky stuff is coming up. It would be funny if the last page of the comic would casually turn the sky red, though something like that might have been reserved for issue 50 before they pulled the plug early. |

Also, season 8 shows the bad guys just finding the Hall of Science as a new hideout. But they’ve been using it since early on in SMA. There’s a couple of other small contradictions, but those are the main ones. So it’ll always be an alternate season 8 for me, instead of a bridge. EDIT: There’s also Old Man Mike from Battle Nexus and the upcoming finale backup. We’ll see what comes from that, but he’s living a quasi-Last Ronin life separated from his brothers and still in fighting shape. The future of FW shown in “Once Upon a Time Machine” reveals he’s a fat chud living with his family in an old folks home. |
