Why do covers for this issue depict Chameleon, Jagwar, Wyrm and Alopex? Were they... Ever part of this series?

This issue will also be crossover with Last Ronin universe because Old Man Mikey will also appear, also based on cover A it looks like Mister Ogg will also have some role here

You know, the cover that mostly seems to homage what this particular series was about, yet still feature token elements that had nothing to do with it? ...
