If you could turn back time, what would you do to change TMNT?

why change tmnt?

Well if I could go back in time I'd see to it that TNM made it to Season 2, but that's just me.

I might convince them to not do TNM at all :wink:

I second that.

I thought the first 5 eps were doing fine until the Neautrinos came in. They're just too silly and their slang was even more outdated than the tmnt... like they stepped off of Happy Days.

Wow... seeing stuff like a talking brain, the neautrinos and then a giant robot.. it's like they were trying to get wackier and wackier with each episode.

Made the sequels to the movie more adult oriented, like the first movie...and instead of TNM, had another season of the old toon.

Lordie am I the ONLY person who LIKES the Neautrinos? :lol:

The third movie, try make it more serious. In the NM, change everything

If I could go back in time I would enjoy it all again.

get rid of the archie comic and make the sequels less kiddie like.

I'd just relive my childhood memories, which mostly consisted of TMNT. :lol:

Kept the Archie comic goin no matter what. I mean the TMNT are back now. It could be done...

Archie had their Sonic series keep running even after Sonic had a 5 or so year hiatus after Sonic & Knuckles/Knuckles Chaotix. Now he's back and the comic is up to 100+

I don't mind the Neutrinos in the fourth ep, but that one later on with that stupid furball pet running loose in the city was dumb... :goofygri:

I can't really think of much I'd change about the TMNT...just not much springs to mind.

Count me, too, as one who liked the Neutrinos. I thought they were interesting characters. I loved their groovy dialogue. I always felt the writers could have done more with them -- "Four Turtles and a Baby" comes to mind -- but that never happened.

The only thing I would change about the Ninja Turtles is when the cartoon aired on the CBS network on Saturday mornings. It was on from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, and my sister and I always had piano lessons during that time.

There are still episodes from the CBS days that I haven't seen. :evil:

I'd change everything about Next Mutation, I know they could have done a better Live Action show.

Never have toned down the series after the mini-series. Keep the quality just like that.

Never take away Mike's chucks (oh it pained me)

Make TMNT IV: Turtles in Time for the SNES able to use the multitap for 4 player turtle action (and for that matter make the new TMNT game 4 player).

Keep the movie sequels similar to the first movie

Never overuse mutants for the old toon. I mean it was nutz...

Make the Next Mutation better... Have April and Casey instead of Venus. Include Baxter (as a human), more Shredder, and more ties to the movies. Heck man... why make it a kids show? Why not have Jim Henson productions produce it for the Sci-Fi channel instead of having Saban put it together for Fox Kids?

Kept the original toon going as long as possible and release more episodes on VHS.

I would've kept Archie going and brought the Mutanimals back to life!

Then I'd undo the last 2 seasons of the original cartoon and have them use more Mirage characters like Renet and Fugitoid.

BTW, for the record, I also like the Nutrinos. They were cool characters!

This one is easy: Shredder doesn't survive being squashed by a trash compactor and we never find out what the secret of the ooze is.

Probably dump Dregg (from the Red Sky eps.), dump Venus (in TNM)....hmmm...that's about it.

That episode is still one of my favorites.

I agree totaly, It would be awsome if they made a new live action show on Sci-Fi by jim Henson production. it would have been awsome. or if it was on HBO! i would order it just to watch them. they would be able to show violence, and swears. well if i went back in time i would go tell laird and eastman how big it would be and tell them the flaws so they could work on them, and not do TNM.

if i could turn the clock back id start at my birth waist less time on poke mon dbz adn digimon and turn the clock back again at 11 & 1/2 (thats when my life began to suck)

but tmnt wise:

comics: colored mirage, no archie or image.

old toys: toys based on comics, drop alot of the costumes, painted weapons, better role playing weapons.

old toon:little less mutants, mike wouldnt be such a dumb ass, more action, lot less pizza, tuffer shredder, the whole thing would be more like the 1st 5 eps. less careless mistakes.

movie: 2 and 3 be better, get sum rock music in there, have splinter be more of a fighter.

old video game: 4 player, 1st one wouldnt suck so bad.

new toys: playmates would make more figs. the minis and mutation would not be repaints.

new toon: shredder would not be an utrom.

new game: better casey mode, better vs. mode, vehichles, better fighting stance for splinter, 4 player.

in general: points at benvenuto.

One thing people like you need to learn is that April and Casey were set for return in Season 2, Season 1 was to welcome Venus into the TMNT Universe. But yes, if I was to change TNM, I'd keep Shredder as the lead villian.

Heres another one I wish I could have seen in the Secret of the Ooze:

Keno is killed in the most brutal and gruesome way possible.

I remember in the storybook version of the movie, they had Keno hook up with that girl that Shredder was holding hostage. I would've liked seeing that in the film.

I'd go back get rid of venusa rercord all the turtles episodes buy all the toys come back abd laugh because I've got A bigger collection then anyone

image comics should have not done what it did.....it would probably been a good comic but the writers/artists messed it up

I would buy all the toys and have left them in mint condition in their box. Wait, then I wouldn't have been a kid. :) I love the TMNT and if something was tampered with back then a chain reaction could have started. This chain could end up changing everything and wouldn't leave me sitting here typing about the TMNT today. :D

Here's something I'd change, if I could turn back the clock I'd remove any and all aspects from the old toon that make it look like the characters know they are in a cartoon, not an actual event, examples

What would I do? I'd make sure that no one even thinks about making a storyline with Shredder being..an..well, I won't say anything in case someone doesn't know what I was gonna say (is there anyone? anyone at all?).
